En blandad upplevelse
Ett väldigt charmigt hotell i sig, men som för de flesta ställen på Ocean Dr är musiken dominerande. Vårt rum på första våningen var relativt skyddat från musiken, men å andra sidan exponerat till oväsen från personalens lokaler, från tidigt till sent. Positivt var ett datorvänligt säkerhetsskåp och att vara mitt på Ocean Dr och direkt vid stranden.

Bra badmöjligheter även för oss med rullstol
Jag sitter i rullstol och här fanns en lift som gjorde att jag tog mig lätt i och ur poolen vilket var toppen. Personalen hjälpte gärna till och det var nära även till strandbad där de också lånar ut rullstolar som lätt går att köra i sanden. Nära till många restauranger och gångavstånd till shoppinggatan. Lite hög volym nattetid måste man vara beredd på annars var allt toppen

Toppen om man gillar party
Läget är verkligen toppen om man vill bo mitt på Ocean Drive där allt händer. Jättenära stranden. Hotellet har bra service med gratis lånecyklar, strand och poolhanddukar och strandstolar. Litet men fint poolområde. Nackdelen var att det var livat till fem på motgonen, så har man svårt för att sova med musik dunkandes nedanför rummet så välj ett annat hotell.

Fantastiskt bra område. Fria låne cyklar på hotellet. Nära strand, restauranger och shopping. Dock relativt dyrt område. Fina promenad och cykelvägar längs stranden. Hög musik på kvällar/nätter.

Paid for penthouse room, A/C was broken, room almost reached 90 degrees, and they refused to refund us, rude workers and terrible service to say the least.

We are sorry for the misunderstanding. You did not book the Penthouse but a deluxe room with a side balcony. When the AC stop working we immediately moved you to a new hotel with your agreement as trying not to cause any disruption to your time off. Since the night was spent on a new hotel there would be no possibility for a refund. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

We really liked the location and the staff were very accommodating and happy. The AC broke down in the building which made for a very rough, hot and humid night. It was out of their control, but we learned that this was the second time in the past two weeks that the AC broke down. The Havana restaurant is was wonderful and the food and service was great.

The hotel had no working air conditioning. Our room was 84 degrees and climbing when we checked out. Staff was rude and very indifferent about how hot it was. They did not let us know at check in that the a/c was not working. We ask if we could get our money back so we could go somewhere else, they said "NO" we would not get our money back. We ask for a discount, agian they said NO! Everyone at the hotel was upset but the staff did not care or show concern, they were just rude! Not to mention the entrance to the hotel had to go through a crazy packed bar that you could hardley get your bags through. The "free breakfast is 2 blocks down the street. We walked to the place only to be told that you need a ticket from the hotel to eat there. The hotel staff had never mentions this or given us this "ticket". So we had to walk back to the "hell hole" hotel to get a breakfast ticket. Again the staff was rude! Do yourself a favor and NEVE STAY AT THE Breakwater hotel.

Idéalement placé pour profiter à fond d’océan drive. Le parking reste par contre trop cher ! Environ 50€ ( les municipaux autour à 9mn à pied étaient fermés !) Le petit dej est à prendre au 720 donc à environ 300m mais la qualité du café dans la chambre permet de patienter À 3 jours, la caution n’est toujours pas rendue !

Area around the property were you dined and the bar was under construction and the concrete was cracked and piled on top of one another. They talked about parking in their ad valet parking. Turns out it's $50 a day. Would not recommend them again

All the Hotel Breakwater staff displayed utmost professionalism and kindness even as they suffered a devasting loss of AC during our stay. They quickly and courteously transferred our remaining two night stay to their sister hotel, The Beacon just a few blocks away. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Breakwater

I booked a balcony suite here for 4 days the second night into my stay the air conditioning went out In the entire building and it was a baby roach in the bathroom sink I stayed off the property gone doing excursions they said it would be fixed by that evening which was Friday when I arrived back the air was still broken they told us to go to the beacon hotel they had a room for us when I tell y’all the room we got was nothing like the room I laid $1300 for didn’t have a pool no balcony no view the room looked like a jail cell at the beacon hotel I’m currently trying to get a refund they also tell u it’s complementary breakfast at the hotel it’s not u have to get a voucher everyday and walk 2 blocks down to the beacon hotel to eat mediocre breakfast.

Nous revenons tout juste de notre séjour à Miami Beach au Breakwater hotel. C’est en arrivant que nous avons appris que le petit-déjeuner se prenais au Beacon Hotel, situé à 300 mètres de l’hôtel… De plus, il n’est servi qu’à partir de 8:00. Les meubles de la chambres,bien que défraîchis, font le boulot. Le frigo est particulièrement utile. Nous avons eu la chance d’avoir une sdb rénovée avec une belle douche. La literie est très confortable. Pour le bruit,l’hôtel étant situé sur Ocean Drive, le bruit fait partie du décor, mais, de notre chambre, en mettant la ventilation contante, cela camouflait le bruit. La dernière nuit, la clim a lâché… Il faisait 27 dans la chambre ce matin… Nous avons utilisé la piscine une seule fois, en fin de journée. Cela explique peut-être pourquoi il y avait beaucoup de sable au fond. Aussi, un lavage du vitrage qui donne le cachet de cette piscine , ne serait pas un luxe! Sinon, l’accès facile à la plage, le prêt de chaises et la proximité du transport en commum (nous avons pris le bus 150 de l’aéroport pour l’aller et le retour) et des restos et commerces, rend les défauts mentionnés plus acceptables, malgré tout. Bon séjour à SoBe!

The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. I felt like I was inconveniencing them when I asked questions. Our air conditioner was broken as well as the reading lamp in our tiny room. I would never return to this hotel.

This was a very nice place, especially for 100 years old. I would highly recommend this a must stay for anyone. Another plus is it's centrally located, walk anywhere.

They really don’t care about this property. The first room they advertise as a pull out bed had gross stains on it like someone was sick. They move us to another room and the couch was the same. Told front desk and they acted like to as nothing they could do. Do not stay at this hotel

Stinky cold room, the only fix, maintenance guy completely shut our air off, then it was hot, wet bed spread, poor quality bed, and this room was nearly 500 per night. Not worth it it smelled like a combo or chlorine and mildew. On a positive view staff was really responsive, brought me a new bed spread, sent maintenance guy right away.

I was traveling alone with my teenage daughter, and this was a great place to be in the thick of ocean Drive to really get the full experience. My daughter loved it. The room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet at night after things quieted down.

Nice hotel, spacious room, has all you need for a great stay. The restaurant in the hotel Havana 1957 Is very good and the location on ocean Drive near everything and in front of the Beach Is perfect. We could hear some restaurant noices from our room but it wasnt too bad. The only blemish, the perdón at check in was as warm and welcoming as the rest of the staff but did her job.
