Bra läge men väldigt slitet.
Enkelt hotell med lite "hippiekänsla". Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Läget är bra precis norr om Lincoln road i ett lugnt och tyst område för att vara så centralt i South beach.

Det städades inte på rummet någon dag. Det var inte ens städat när vi anlände. Handdukar så slitna att det var hål i dom. Ett mycket annorlunda och billigt hotell.

Riktigt stora rum. Största rummen en vanlig hotel har. Vi rekommenderar starkt. Nära till stranden och Centrum (lin oln road). Vänlig personal. Tvättmaskin till gästerna, grattis kaffe. Grattis parkering som annars kostar 35 dollar dygnet.

Vi bara passerade, men det var ett lite kul och udda ställe. Ganska låg standard, men eftersom vi bara skulle vidare så var det ok. Väldigt bra läge nära stranden.

Trevligt hotell med perfekt läge.
Perfekt läge. Trevlig serviceinriktad äldre man i receptionen som bjöd på Donats när vi åkte. Dåligt städat men rättades till efter tillsägelse. Gratis parkering. Härlig atmosfär.

Slitet och tråkigt hotell
Nja... läget var väldigt bra. 1-2 minuters promenad till Lincoln road och alla butiker etc. Men hotellet är slitet, tråkigt och känns allmänt dåligt. Bodde två nätter och båda nätterna hängde det en massa 20-åriga killar på hotellets uteplats sent på kvällen när vi var på väg hem. Kändes inte som hotellgäster och hela stämningen var lite skum. Tror inte att hotellet kommer uppskattas av småbarnsfamiljer alls. Men läget är otroligt bra och priset likaså om man jämför med övriga hotell i närområdet, men nej, skulle inte vilja återvända och rekommenderar INTE hotellet.

Slitet med bra läge
Bra läge och nära till strand och uteliv/restauranger. Slitet, lite ofräscht hotel. Men bohemiskt för den som söker det. Ett plus är att det finns parkering.

Tyst och lugnt hotell trots centralt läge
Lite nedgånget hotell men med utmärkt läge. En enda lampa i rummet och ett fönster saknade mörkläggningsgardiner.Det fanns ett kylskåp och en mikrovågsugn (i dåligt skick). Dörren var svår att låsa. Sängarna var hårda och kuddarna platta och små.

It’s ok for a night or two, the staff were very kind. 5min away walking distance to Lincoln Rd shopping and restaurants. The entrance and the reception don’t smell great. There was no one at the reception in 2 occasions (at check-in 3pm and when we wanted to pick up the bags we had left there 4:15pm).

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel une nuit. Certes il mérite un bon rafraîchissement maïs niveau calme, accessibilité, parking et accueil il n'y a pas mieux. En bref il vaut son prix compte tenu de ce que jai énoncé ci-dessus.

This little gem of a quiet oasis amidst the noise of Miami Beach was the best part of our trip. It’s a historical art deco whimsical masterpiece made with lots of love by the original owners and includes lots of art pieces gifted by regular customers throughout the years. Only a few minutes walk to the beach, includes free parking, free continental breakfast, microwave and mini fridge. There is someone at the desk 24 hours. They do need to hold on to your car keys and parking spots are not always available depending on how many people with cars are staying there. Overall a great experience, highly recommend

Das Hotel ist einzigartig und das Personal ist sehr nett. Einzig die Sauberkeit und das doch heruntergekommene Bad trüben den Eindruck. Aber für zwei Sterne und der Lage kann man wohl auch nicht erwarten.

I arrived very late in the evening. The surrounding area was safe and quiet. The room was stuffy as i opened the door, mainly because of cleaning detergents. The smell subsided soon after i opened the windows. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The furniture were a bit worn down but i was not bothered by that since the bedding and everything else was clean. The bathroom was clean and amenities provided. There was a microwave and fridge. Unfortunately there were no utensils to make use of that. It would be nice for a mug and plate to be provided. It would make a huge difference to tourists. Just this small detail. I did ask for a mug but i was asked to check the following day when the owner was there ..our paths did not cross since i had an early start of the day. They provided complementary coffee and donuts, which was a nice touch. They accommodated me by agreeing for me to check out at 11:30 instead of 11:00. There were no additional charges. It is also close to the beach and bus stops. All in all i had a good stay. Just you should know what to expect before booking and it depends really on the purpose of your visit.

This place is reminiscent of “Fawlty Towers” - the cast of hotel characters is laughable. That said, I woke up in the middle of the night drenched from a hole in the ceiling pouring water onto the bed. The “crack staff” pulled the bed over and put a bucket under the nonstop drip (a few inches an hour). The hotel staff had a very dismissive tone when I said you can’t rent a room in that condition. No reduction in room rate and charges $10 per bag to hold once checked in or checking out. Great location but you can do better - unless you are looking to write a hotel-based sitcom.

The hole was checked, it was not at all as you described. The bed was not wet. We only charge to leave luggage early on the day you check in, as was your case. In fact we only charged you for one set of luggage to hold early even though you had two rooms and two sets of luggage. Our space for luggage is very limited but we accommodated your needs. At check out we do not charge and we hold luggage free.

Leaving luggage early is an additional service and our space is limited. Come at check in ( which is listed) with your luggage and there will be no charge.

Very unique hotel in a beautiful, safe area very close to the beach, walking, dining, busy but safe. Older but unique hotel with excellent staff, let us check in 3 hrs earlier and let us check out late by 3 hrs as well. Very accommodating, well priced for the area we were staying in. Highly recommend.

The place deserves its 2 star rating as the hotel and rooms are worn down. No real issues and the staff were friendly and helpful. Couple blocks to get to the beach but otherwise the location is good.

Es un hotel muy pintoresco muy familiar, mi esposo tuvo oportunidad de platicar con la hija del dueño sobre la historia del hotel muy interesante , es un hotel pequeño , pero ideal por su tienes auto ya que lo puedes estacionar , tiene su propio parking, y puedes ir caminando o en Uber como nosotros hicimos , es un área segura y el cuarto tienen todas las comodidades

Properly is conveniently located near shops, restaurant and beach. Rooms are big and beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and parking was a huge bonus. The place is quirky which I didn’t mind but was very outdated and rundown. The elevator had an expired certificate

Cleaning must be requested. By either informing the staff or placing a sign on your door. As far as the noise, we cannot control what goes on outside or inside unless we are informed. We did not receive any complaints.

The convenience including parking and the location of this property is the only real positive. I found the staff to be marginal in terms of welcoming and appreciating me as a guest. The James Hotel operates in an old traditional method and offers " a continental breakfast" where a staff member sits next to the coffee pot and manages and controls a box of donuts. The staff provides parking but requires you to turn in your car keys even though it is not valet service. No safes in the room for protection of valuables. The lock on the door does not have a deadbolt or provide any sense of security. Some significant upgrades are needed at this place.

We do not offer breakfast we offer “complimentary” coffee and pastries. This should be “appreciated”. Our parking is also “ complimentary” we can request the keys since it’s our policy. You can park somewhere else, keep your keys, and pay. It’s “free” maybe you should “appreciate” the parking. You are not required to park at our property. We have a safe in the reception for any guests who need one. All rooms have deadbolts. Next time communicate with the staff they are here to help.

They should rename it the Bates Motel. Fruit flies in the rooms, terrible staff, no security. You can walk in directly into the room hallway without anyone from staff seeing you. Room locks we're 30 years old. It should be a hostel not a hotel. Simply gross, stay away.

You stayed 3 days and not one complaint. We do not have fruit flies in the room or any bugs for that matter. We have cameras and can see who enters rooms. I’m not sure what Hotel you have reviewed but it is not our Hotel. Sounds like you have it confused with another Hotel you stayed at.
