Directions from Airport:
We took Mia Mover (a train, for free, 2 minutes) from Miami Airport to Miami central station. At Miami central station we took a bus (Miami Beach Airport Flyer, route 150 eastbound) to Miami Beach. We payed 2,45 USD cash on the bus and the bus took us to Washington Avenue / 5:th street after 40 minutes. Very easy, even though we had 3 big bags, a stroller and a 2-year old kid with us!
Very nice pool area with a lot of stairs /steps that made it possible for small children to play in the water. We lived in the next door building and hardly noticed any staff or tourists. We never tried the hotel restaurant (it seemed to be expensive). There were one grocerystore a couple of blocks away (out to the left from the hotel, walk 3 blocks, turn to the right and walk 2 blocks. The grocerystore is on the left, a very anonymous entrance). If you go out to the right and turn to the left after one block (Collins / 5:th street) you´ll find Wallgreens with pharmacy, grocerys, make-up and loads of more...)
Oceans drive is a very nice street just for walks, but you´ll find all the shopping at Washington Avenue, the closer to the Art Deco district, the more shopping...
We found two playgrounds nearby, the closest was on the left hand side, on Oceans drive just 200 metres away The second was to the right on Oceans drive, on the way up to Art Deco.
