"My stay at Konokono Beach Resort was overall pleasant. The accommodation was okay, and most of the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my visit. However, my experience took a very unexpected and uncomfortable turn on the night before my departure. For the first time in all my years of traveling, I was asked by the night staff to open and show the contents of my bags before leaving the hotel. This has never happened to me at any hotel before, and I sincerely hope it never happens again. What could have been a decent stay was overshadowed by this disturbing experience. No guest should ever be treated like that. "

"The staff and service was amazing very attentive, professional and friendly. There were many activities in the resort even though we were there during low season. The food in the beginning of our stay was amazing, but the choices reduced by the end of the stay as there were not many guests in April. We however enjoyed the calm environment and the beautiful scenery."

"We spent 8 unforgettable nights at JAZ Elite Aurora and it truly stands out as one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. What makes this resort exceptional is the leadership and culture. General Manager Domenico Iannone is visibly present and leads by example — you can feel it throughout the entire team. His management colleagues Mr Reda, Mr Youssef, and Mr Mohamed were all engaged and approachable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere across the property. Valentine’s Day was beautifully executed with themed decorations, a tailored menu, live music, and a wonderful cocktail evening where guests were introduced to each other, making it feel personal and inclusive. The food at Mwamba Grill was outstanding (the beef tagliata is a must!), Mr Hussein and his team provided excellent service, Mr Othman at reception was consistently welcoming, and housekeeping kept our room spotless throughout our stay. When we left, there was a genuine sadness — it felt like leaving people, not just a hotel. That says everything. We are already planning to return — and hope Domenico and his fantastic team will still be there when we do."

"Läget var fantastiskt, lugnt och skönt, i den lugnare delen men ändå nära att kunna gå in mot ”stan”. Poolområdet var superfint med utsikt över havet. Alla var väldigt trevliga i personalen, framförallt restaurang- och poolpersonalen! Kunde absolut ta lite lång tid att få in beställningar, men det verkar det vara överlag i Zanzibar. Vad som var mindre bra tyvärr - städningen på rummen var kanske inte den bästa, det fylldes heller inte på med nytt när det tog slut (schampo och tvål), trots att vi påminde flertalet gånger. Wi-fiet fungerade inte i vårt rum (vissa andra rum fungerade det bra och andra inte pga räckvidden). Vår utcheckningsdag tog de även betalt för vår frukost och vi fick inte möjlighet att låna handdukar, även om vi sade att vi kunde betala för det för att duscha av oss innan hemfärd som var senare på kvällen. Allt som allt - bra läge, fint hotell och poolområde, samt väldigt trevlig personal i restaurang och poolområde. Vad som var mindre bra var städning och småmissar, och att de inte var så tillmötesgående vår sista dag."

"This is the best hotel resort I ever been to, the food was delicious and the room was so luxury and good service despite it was new opens, one negative thing was the hotel was alcohol free but there was a lovely bar on the beach right beside the hotel 20 meters "

"We booked an amazing room with a big balcony/patio and a jacuzzi. The welcoming of the staff was amazing, Ester in particular. The all inclusive is great. Many choices, super fresh food and you can even choose a la carte and sparkling wines. The views are amazing. The pool perfect. The only problem this hotel currently have is that there is a construction site right next door. Ask for a room as far from that as possible It's still worth visiting this hotel! We would happily return. "
