“It is a nice place to stay if you are in the area on a business trip (in my case the company I visited was within <10 min walking distance). The area is quiet and far from disturbing traffic and other noise. The hotel supplied all the services required for my stay. There is also a gym located in the same building. In general the impression is good. However, one night the fire alarm started (false alarms) repetadly during a period of almost one hour.”

“Jättebra personal och trevligt bemötande. V fick ett rum på bottenvåningen som luktade konstigt och när vi påtalade det blev vi direkt flyttade upp på tredje våningen. Bra mat men ganska tråkig frukost. Svårt att ta sig till de olika små byarna, det går inte att gå från hotellet till närmsta pub utan vi fick ta taxi, stort plus att hotellet kunde sätta upp taxikostnaden på rumsnotan. I det stora hela ett bra hotell med bra service, bra bemötande och trevlig träningsanläggning.”

“The hotel was really pleasant and very welcoming. Breakfast was up to a very high standard. Receptionists and hotel staff as well as cleaning ladies were very friendly and extremely service minded. All in all my sister and I spent a lovely time there and would highly recommend this hotel. The price was reasonable and not to forget the warm water swimming pool and its surroundings. Would like to go back one day within next few years.”

“Starting here on my own as a single woman I felt safe. My room, bathroom and the communal facilities were really clean, although there were signs of wear in a couple of places, for example the bed base. I was in the original hotel, where the building itself could do with some attention in places (window ledges, etc) which I hope they attend to because it's a beautiful building in a wonderful location. It's easy to get to on the edge of Matlock Bath and has plenty of parking. The pool is...

“The menu was varied both at breakfast and in the evening. Well stocked bar. The room was very hot, even with the provided fan but the bed was comfortable. Kept having to log back in on the internet, which elderly relatives found very tiresome. It would have been useful to have more written information, such as a selection of tourist brochures.”
