Review
Great apartment - location, cleanliness and well appointed. the only negative was the excessive noise coming from the apartment on the second floor - definitely bring earplugs.

Can’t beat the location!
Lovely roomy studio, well laid out and easy to live in. Gary, the host is wonderful! Full kitchen made it easy to have a meal here and there during our stay. Loved walking to dinner or shop in downtown with ease!

Great Mill Valley Stay
The apartment is in a central downtown location with a shared patio in back for relaxing. The decor was lovely, bed comfortable and stocked with everything you would need while away from home. Communication from owner was great. Highly recommend!

San Francisco Trip
Property was clean and convenient to downtown Mill Valley. Host was very prompt on getting back to me with any questions I had. Although there is no parking on the property itself, we had no issues finding parking nearby either on the street or in the bank next door. It’s just a short drive into San Francisco and surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend.

Great month-long stay!
The studio apartment was great for my mother who came to visit for a month out here in Mill Valley. It was clean, comfortable and walking distance to so much in downtown MV. My husband's parents are going to stay here in June! Gary was so kind and communicative with us- highly recommend this listing!

Perfect Spot in Mill Valley
This beautiful little rental had a wonderful back yard for enjoying an evening glass of wine, a useful kitchen and was very clean and comfortable. If you want to explore a place to stay outside of the city in a comfortable and quiet area, this is an excellent spot. Whole foods is nearby and the traffic in the area is not nearly as stressful. A golden gate transit bus stop is located only a block away that will take you all the way to the financial district and back, and if you have taken your car a spot is provided which is awesome. Mill Valley has great neighborhoods and cool shops nearby that you should check out. The owner Gary is incredibly thoughtful and easy to communicate with. We happened to meet him and he was very welcoming and gave us excellent advice about transit and dining around the area.

A complete and comfortable apartment
Gary’s apartment was attractively furnished, comfortable and complete with everything we needed for our stay. It was also well organized with more than adequate information as to how to locate everything in the apartment. We also knew from his correspondence that he would be available if we should need him. Great Location! Comfy Quarters!
We loved our month-long stay at Gary's beautiful apartment! Gary welcomed us with a bouquet of roses, a chilled bottle of wine, and everything we needed for a convenient, comfortable stay. The bed was great, bathroom and shower stylish and convenient, well-stocked with shampoo, etc. We loved the view out the French doors to Mount Tam, and walking the neighborhood to share one of the parks with our grandsons was terrific. Gary was friendly and responsive but respected our privacy. We hated to leave, and could not have wished for a better place to spend time in Mill Valley! Highly recommend this wonderful apartment!

Great location and perfect size for two!!

Perfect studio!!!
We loved our stay in Gary's studio. The studio provided everything you could wish for. The location is great with the ferry, golden gate park and Muir Woods just minutes away. Absolutely charming!
My husband and I spent 4 nights at Gary's lovely guest house, and it was wonderful! The studio was beautifully appointed with all the bedroom, bath and kitchen necessities, a very comfortable bed, large shower, nice flat-screen TV, and a lovely sitting area just outside our French doors. It was also really convenient to have a private parking area for our rental car. We very much enjoyed meeting Gary, and had a nice visit with him! He's so pleasant and helpful, and responded to us right away when we had any questions during our stay. It's a lovely area of town, as well, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation! Thanks, Gary!

Quaint with great views!
Although we didn’t get to meet Gary he was always available through email. Check in and check out went smoothly and my favorite part of staying here were the views! There are many other positives as well, such as, easy access to major roads, proximity to San Francisco and Napa, and the great bed we got to lay in every night after sight seeing. One last thing, having a car isn’t necessary to stay here, but if you do rent one, having a parking spot makes things super easy! Thank you Gary!

Terrific studio in charming neighborhood!
Thank you Gary for a great stay! Very cute studio located near restaurants and a great downtown. Mill Valley is a perfect getaway. We were able to visit Muir Woods and the Marin Headlands for the first time. We very much enjoyed our stay!

This place of Gary's was seriously the best! The description is so true, the location was in the middle of all the great spots that my Son & I wanted to go to. Perfect getaway with comforts of home near popular tourist locations
If you want to stay in a private, quiet neighborhood and yet have access within minutes to creature comforts such as grocery stores, restaurants and tourist attractions, look no further. My husband and I stayed here for our 30th anniversary in order to be close to Muir Woods and within a short drive to San Francisco. This was the best decision we made! Gary was a great host providing us with local information regarding transportation and restaurants. We visited Sol Food, a Puerto Rican restaurant our first night in Mill Valley. My (Lydia's) father is from Puerto Rico, so it was a delight to taste delicious Puerto Rican dishes in Mill Valley! How I wish we had Sol Food in our area, now! The private suite is located at the back of the house, is very comfortable and decorated with modern touches and amenities. It was wonderful to sleep with the fresh mountain breeze flowing through the open windows above the bed. Coming from the Houston, TX area, this was a delight. We stocked the convenient refrigerator with snacks and beverages during our stay. The neighborhood was quiet and Gary was always a door knock away. The suite doors open up to a seating area where a mountain and trees peek through from the distance. I had my morning tea here. We had a relaxing time and cannot wait to return to Mill Valley, our new home-away-from-home!

We just got back home fro SF and already miss it. Gary’s pace is lovely. Very quaint and comfortable for a couple with all the amenity needed away from home. The location is perfect close enough to many places and local attractions yet not in the middle of town. There are restaurants, grocery stores, gas station 5 minutes away. Gary was a great host always available if needed. We highly recommend his place!!

Title is very accurate!
This very well-appointed, small apartment is located close to anything one could want to do in and around SF area: Muir Woods & Beach, Bonita Point Lighthouse, the fabulous Point Reyes, Russian River area and Sebastopol, and of course all the charms & attractions of SF. Mill Valley has anything close by that one might want, Gary's place opens right onto a large greenspace park, is quiet & peaceful, & the property is named perfectly as it is so perfectly located. It is also decorated quite nicely for its small footprint - excellent for a couple. Thanks dor the great digs from which to explore the area. We had a great time.

Very convenient location
Since we wanted to go to San Francisco, Napa and the Redwood valley, this was a perfect central location. The place had everything we needed. Owner was very accommodating. We would stay here again if we come back to the West coast. We walked part of the bike trail near by. Next time we want to take the time to bike it.

Quiet, convenient awesome location!
We visited San Francisco for a week, staying in Mill Valley at Gary's Place! Awesome area, close to restaurants, coffee, groceries, cute downtown, bus stop on the corner and a really great neighbourhood to explore! We barely used our vehicle, all buses took us right to where we wanted to go in San Fran and it was basically 100 feet. The bed was super comfy and the shower was great! Laundry was handy and the backyard was very private with a park in the back too! Gary was super friendly and on hand if needed. We would definitely recommend it, and of course stay again!

Well Equipped, Excellent Host
The studio apartment is well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay, Gary was there if we needed but as everything had been provided we didn’t need anything extra. Rather than drive into San Francisco and Sausalito we caught the bus which was only a 15/20 minute walk so really easy to do, couple this with the local facilities the apartment is in a good location. I would recommend this apartment and we will look to stay here again next time we visit the area.
