Nice place, very clean, great location
Our family of four (all adults) used this spot as our central home base while doing excursions into SF, Sausalito, Napa and Sonoma. Perfect for our needs. Nice kitchen, livingroom, bedrooms, and bathroom with washer and dryer. Tucked up on a hillside, so it has a beautiful view out over the surrounding area. Close proximity to restaurants, shopping, highway, etc. but still sits back in a residential neighborhood where it was quiet. We’d definitely book it again if traveling to that area!

Great location
Close to Mt. Tam and Muir Woods hiking trails and a quick drive from San Francisco. The house was bright and clean. It had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable. The owner was quick to resolve the issue we had with the WiFi. We loved the back garden!

Oasis among the trees
What a beautiful oasis just outside the city. Nestled among the trees of Mill Valley, easy access to San Francisco, Sausalito and Muir Woods. It was the perfect getaway for our family of four.

Beautiful Cottage in a Fantastic Setting
Very comfortable and homey. Convenient to Bay Area. Quiet, woodsy setting. Beautiful rose garden in back and nice landscaping overall. Owner was responsive and friendly. I would stay there again. One thing to improve upon would be that it could have been cleaner.

Great base for exploring Marin and Bay Area
This property is very clean, quiet and comfortable. We appreciated the kitchen and laundry amenities. The location is excellent for exploring Mill Valley, the Marin Headlands, Mt Tam, and Sausalito. It also provides easy accessibility to San Francisco, but is a much more relaxing place to stay. Highly recommended.

The Most Convenient Location Ever!!!
This house is a perfect home base for any San Francisco area vacation! Muir Woods, Downtown San Fran, The Golden Gate Bridge, and pretty much everything in the Bay Area are only a short drive away. There are roughly 12,000 great places to eat (you have to go to Joe’s Tacos) within 10 minutes. Book this property now!!!

Retreat in Homestead Valley
I had a very relaxing time staying at Julie’s cottage. Everything was as described and it was more beautiful (views of Mt. Tam, a private backyard garden) than I anticipated. I spent half the week working from the cottage and the other half biking, walking, and stand-up paddle boarding. It’s very close to several tasty restaurants and Sausalito, and I cooked many meals from the cottage kitchen. Julie was a good communicator and addressed a few questions I had and things that came up. I highly recommend this for a couple, a few friends, a small family or a solo retreat!

Perfect Stay!
This property was immaculate and the location was beautiful. The property is built on a large hill so every window has a view...from trees/mountains off the front deck to a private well tended garden in the back. The location is a quick drive into San Francisco, and minutes from Sausalito & Muir Woods National Park and downtown Mill Valley has a fun vibe with outdoor music and dining. This home was a great place to come back to and relax in after a day of exploring. Our family loved it. The hosts were great and I'd definitely stay here again.

Lovely stay in Marin
Lovely location with a spacious, comfy living space. We were able to work from this rental with no problems; the WiFi was fast and reliable and the area very peaceful. There were a few things missing when we checked in, but Julie was very responsive and made things right quickly. The view from the kitchen and front balcony is wonderful - especially to watch sunrises and sunsets. The back yard is a zen space to sit out in.

Almost paradise in Mill Valley!
Our overall experience was great and Julie was very available. Just a couple things- due the property location a few things should be noted on the listing. A steep driveway and two flights of steps for those who might find it challenging. Also the carpet could be cleaner and the shower curtain given more attention. Loved the back garden with the terraced rose bushes!

Perfect for a staycation / remote work getaway
We stayed here while our house was under remodel and it was perfect for our family of three. The owner was very accommodating in helping us get the perfect set up for remote working and distance-learning. She made sure we were on the right Wi-Fi and even brought us an extra table and chair. We were able to walk from here to get coffee at a Equator Coffee, and we even walked to downtown Mill Valley. It has all the conveniences you will need such as a washing machine, dishwasher, and cable TV. And it’s quiet and tranquil.

Wonderful Mill Valley Cottage
This was a super cozy stay, wonderful space and perfect location in Mill Valley. The host family were very warm and always available when communication was needed. The 2 bedrooms and open layout of the living room provided everything needed to feel right at home! Best part were the delicious apples right off the tree in the backyard! We would definitely stay again in the future.

In a great location, clean, comfortable, temendously easy to go into the city while maintaining a small community feel. Property managers always on top of any request. It had a wonderful back patio terraced with roses and other landscaping to enjoy your morning coffee. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in Mill Valley, California!
Everything was just fantastic. The location is so close to everything wonderful about San Francisco. The property was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The gardens were gorgeous and there were beautiful views everywhere. We really enjoyed it and felt at home. The owners were super responsive and thoughtful. I would highly recommend staying in their beautiful rental.

Nice, relaxing setting. A big plus is when we checked out we just had to put our dishes in the dishwasher and lock the door! So nice compared to the places you practically have to clean, even when you’re paying a cleaning fee!

Worked great for our need!
The house was clean and exactly as described. The yard was beautiful. My son loved the smart home gadgets and the internet speed! The host was easy to contact even though we didn’t need anything specific. The only thing to note is the parking. We had a suburban and it was a challenge to get into the driveway and park. Driveway is an incline and the car hit the driveway going in each day.

Beautiful 2-bedroom private cottage with great hosts
For the third year in a row we returned for an extended stay - this alone tells you how much we love the cottage which is bright and comfortable. We also love the location. You can walk out the door and be on a hiking trail in the Marin headlands in a few min. You can drive out the door and be in SF in 15 min. Finally we love our hosts and their entire family all of whom are engaging, friendly and kind.

Great place to stay
Owners were very friendly. We got in a little later and Noah was there to welcome us. I reported the hair dryer didn’t work and they replaced it with a new one. I also needed some tickets printed and they helped with that. The location was very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go (San Fran, Muir Woods, Sausalito). We would recommend this place.

Great place!
The location is perfect for both SF and Marin points of interest. Took ferry to SF- only 15 min from cottage. The hosts were fabulous! Well stocked and clean light and has beautiful views The cottage is really close to downtown Mill Valley which is beautiful and has great restaurants and shops. Really nice feel in the cottage- beds very comfortable and the rooms are a good size. The parking is sufficient for one car but the hosts made accommodation for parking when my son came to visit for the evening- they are super! The driveway is straight up but its not long I would highly recommend and would stay here again!

Great Home with Easy Access to San Francisco
We enjoyed coming back to this home each night. It is away from the city, yet easy access. The owners are friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for navigating SanFrancisco. The property is very close to Muir Woods, which was a great day trip to explore the Redwoods. It was too hot to use the fireplace, and we only used the kitchen for breakfast, but it was nice to have available. It is an upstairs property.

Made for an easy vacation...
We particularly enjoyed our time in this little cottage. Well stocked with all we had need of except food, we had coffee on the front deck, private moments of conversation and breakfast on the private and beautifully appointed back patio. A pleasure to stay here.
It was a pleasure to stay at this home in Mill Valley. The home was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with clean utensils, flatware, china, etc. I truly appreciated the convenience of visiting San Francisco, Muir Woods, and Point Reyes from this location. The owners were very hospitable in answering questions I had. I would certainly stay here again. (Two suggestions: 1. There was only one box of Kleenex that I could find in the home- in the living room. Perhaps several others could be placed in bedrooms, bath, kitchen. 2. Perhaps a small “welcome gift” would add a greater touch of warmth when a guest moves in: simply a couple bottles of water, orange juice, or such. Or a small assortment of snacks. I just mention this because I have experienced this at other properties.) But, I had a great stay. Thank you.

Spring Break '18
We stayed in the cottage for Spring Break '18. The cottage has plenty of space (much bigger than the pictures show). The neighborhood is real quite at night so that you can get a good night's sleep after a long day. Plenty to do in the area: Muir Woods trails, visiting the waterfront of Sausalito and grabbing a bite to eat, see a movie in a quaint 2 show theater in downtown Mill Valley or drive across the Golden Gate in to San Fran for a day of fun. Whatever your appetite is fun, you are sure to find it here. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful, Quiet, and Peaceful Setting with Central Location
My wife and I had a wonderful 9 nights at this “cottage” which feels more like a house with a great floor plan and lots of space. The kitchen and bathroom were generously supplied with all necessary items....like foil, paper towels, Kleenex, etc. At most rentals, we normally have to immediately go out on arrival and buy these items. Cheerful interior... sunlit kitchen and living room... and comfortable seating for eating and watching TV in the evening. The grounds were beautifully landscaped with fragrant trees and plants, and there was a balcony in front and a patio in the back, both with outdoor furniture. The hosts were very friendly and completely unobtrusive. We were only a few blocks from a fantastic grocery store “Good Earth Natural Foods” ... we loved their selection and wish we had this store here in the Boston area (surpasses Whole Foods by far!). We now miss all the delicious local dairy products from the happy Marin cows! Also, we recommend the Pacific Black Cod which is excellent. In summary, this is an unusually pretty rental, which exceeded our expectations (and we have rented a lot during vacations). We plan to be back soon!

A Tam Junction Delight
We love Julie's and Noah's two bedroom apartment in Tam Junction. The apartment is really perfect for our extended stay in southern Marin. The place is clean, quiet, spacious, has a nice kitchen and there is a new grill on the deck (thank you)! There is also a back yard patio that is very private and it gets afternoon sun. The apartment is in a friendly neighborhood that invites afternoon walks to the grocery store or coffee shop both of which are less than a mile away. You can also take a more serious hike from the apartment to places like Zen Center, Muir Beach, Stinson Beach and the all of the Marin Headlands. Julie and Noah are wonderful folks and are fabulous hosts. They are around when you need them but they are not intrusive. The truth is we wish we saw them more during our stay. Julie is SF Giants fan and knows her baseball. Noah is a great story teller and a fun guy. We also love their 3 dogs. Ozzie, who is a yellow lab, is our favorite because we are also a lab family. We look forward to returning again next year and won't think of going anywhere else in Marin.
