“There was no breakfast available but there are plenty of options for breakfast within walking distance. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite was roomy. There was no internet access in our bedroom. Parking is allocated to your bedroom number and is available from book in until about 1.30pm to 2pm on the booking out day. This was ideal for us as we were able to get a last hike in before leaving.”

“Wow wow wow ! What a stunning place to stay. Steven one of the owners of the building greeted myself and friend as we arrived. He was such a lovely and accommodating host from the swcond we got to the hotel. Martin work also works at the hotel was wonderful, pretty sure he cooked our breakfasts which were delicious ! What can I say other than it’s been an absolute dream come true and thank you for being so kind. ”

“Had a brilliant few days stay at the cottage, the phrase that comes to mind is home away from home. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Location for us was perfect with the monsal trail on its doorstep, loads of walking trails nearby and not far from Buxton. Really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend, thank you”

“Absolutely fantastic property. Messaging the owner was simple, with quick responses. Great neighborhood. Easy 5 minute walk (downhill) to shops, pubs and restaurants. A little longer (and more work) back up the hill. Extremely clean, well appointed and comfortable. Easy to get to local estates and attractions. If renting a car, get the smallest you can as the streets in and around Bakewell are very narrow. Would rent again!”

“I loved the place, I was welcomed with a welcome package with tea and supplies. It was a 245 year old cottage so it has a few “features” which I loved the most about the place. I loved the three story staircase which was very good cardio. I’d love to stay again wonderful ”
