“Proper traditional English hotel! Centre of Hartlepool. Reception staff very friendly as were cleaning staff I met. Quiet despite location and easy walking distance to transport networks.”

“The place was clean, tidy and quiet; the manager friendly and helpful. However, it is pretty basic. There's no thermostat in the room so I wasn't able to warm it up. The main issue was I was unable to have a hot shower on the morning. The manager offered for me to use the shared bathroom but in the second morning, the shower wouldn't get hot. So I think with a little improvement it could be worth the price. ”

“Perfect location. Bus stop and train station are close by. Property run down and in need of repairs. You get what you pay for! No internet in the rooms only in the pub next door. Can hear pigeons outside and sounded like something was in the loft. ”

“The general condition of the hotel is poor, old, tired and a bit scruffy. The rooms just about fit the bill, but the bathrooms are very small. The general condition of the hotel is not good, the corridors are grotty and the floor is uneven. The staff are hit n miss, the cleaning ladies were friendly enough the night shift staff were completely incompetent, and don't expect room service, I had to order in a pizza!! “The hotel is beatifully situated and with excellent service!”

“Basic but clean and comfortable, decent value for the price. Each apartment is 2-bed so kitchen and bathroom are only shared with one other guest room. Was upgraded from single to a double for no extra charge. The people upstairs were up all night but that could happen anywhere.”
