Älskar Rehoboth, men vill ha en paus från folkmassorna? Vill du ha lugn och ro i en naturlig miljö? Hyr sedan på direktstrand / strandfront på den vita sandiga Broadkill Beach på Delaware Bay .... bara ett dussin land miles NW av Rehoboth. Stranden kam, fisk, kanot, vandra det vilda livet bevara, golf, njuta av viken från en enorm veranda. Vi hoppas att du kan komma och se själv! Njut av den naturliga miljön, den naturliga skönheten, den naturliga tystnaden!

Och på grund av den populära efterfrågan har trådlöst internet och kabel-TV inkluderats.


Broadkill Beach, där huset ligger, är en lugn gammal fiskeby som är helt bostadsområde (alla enskilda familjshus) och en pittoresk landsbutik. Staden är NW i Rehoboth / Lewes, tillräckligt nära för att hoppa i bilen för att träffa butiker, restauranger eller strandpromenaden, men tillräckligt långt för att du ska njuta av lugn och ro. Broadkills sandstrand är perfekt för sandslott, kajakpaddling, strandkamning, och den enorma vilddomen för djurliv (Primehook) är en annan attraktion. Några mil inåt ligger det historiska Milton, hem för en enorm samling av viktoriansk erarkitektur, bokhandel, antikvitetsaffärer, glassbar och att vara hem för ett par av Delawares 1800-tals guvernörer - där finns stora hus fortfarande kvar. Detta är verkligen ett område för alla typer av semestersmak.

Tillsammans skapar stranden, landsbutiken och stugan en inställning av "Summer of '42" -typ (som min granne kallar det). Huset byggdes medan babyboomer's fortfarande åkte skridskobord och den 'största generationen' var fortfarande 'arbetande generation'. Vi har faktiskt sommarbeskyddare som kom hit först som barn själva, och de tar nu med sina barnbarn. Stugan har en stor veranda och ett däck.

Stugan inkluderar också vardagsrummet och 3 sovrum. Det ena hela badet och ett halvt badrum inuti kompletteras av en duschkabin utanför. Det finns mer parkering än du kan använda, komplement till Broadkills låga täthet av bostäder. Slutligen huset och verandan mot direkt strand / vikfronten. På natten kan du se de blinkande lamporna i Cape May, liksom pitching och rullande lamporna på Lewes-Cape May Ferry.

Christmas vaycay

Nice place, communication while at the property was difficult because the cell service is extremely limited. The Hosts were easy to communicate with when in an area our cells worked. They did everything that they could do to ensure our stay was a good one.

Broadkill beach house

Charming beach house at end of quiet road. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the property. Our pups enjoyed walks on the beach just a few steps from the front door. A lovely place and getaway!

Relaxing with gorgeous setting

We chose this rental to relax away from the beach crowds and it did not disappoint! Super quiet relaxed neighborhood. Just a few people around during our stay, all friendly. Amazing screened in porch/sunroom with wide water view right against the dunes with beautiful plantings, bunnies, foxes and deer! Loved being able to walk right down to the beach with our pup any time of day and having the outdoor showers to clean off. The house is charming and comfortable with everything we needed. The Broadkill store was a nice little walking destination with basics, ice cream, donuts and pizza too. Also enjoyed day trips to Lewes and Rehoboth. Just be aware of the land breezes that bring the biting flies! A perfect,relaxing getaway!

Perfect location in Broadkill Beach

I've been to Broadkill Beach several times, staying in different homes each visit. We were traveling this time to see the spawning of the horseshoe crabs that takes place in the spring, timing the trip during the full moon in May. (And we're not disappointed -- lots right on the beach that night, and more to see at the DuPont Nature Center on the way home.) Being right on the beach was wonderful, because we could easily pop over the dune to check out the crabs, and when we were inside, the view from the enclosed porch was fantastic. My husband and I had the twin beds, which were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The owners of the property quickly answered any questions and the house comfortably met the needs of two couples aged 50+, and I would definitely consider renting again in the future. I would bring my own cookware, as the pans available were limited and tired, but we were only there a few days, so no worries. If you're looking for fancy new construction, this isn't the house for you, but if you appreciate a charming beach cottage with a bit of sway on the pilings, a stunning view, and easy access to the beach, you've found a good one!

Great location, like a private beach

We absolutely loved our stay at seaside. Great for the dogs to run on the beach. Close enough to everything but not too close. Lots of great food and fun in downtown Milton. Highly recommend if you’re looking for vintage North East beach vibes.

Out of the Way Beach House

Quick access to the beach, beautiful views from the porch, this 3 bedroom home had everything we needed. Maybe a larger TV and a Kuerig could be added, but otherwise a good time was had by all.

Magical Vacation

We brought two grandchildren, ages 2 + 3 to enjoy some special time at the beach.. We visited Milton and the beautiful park/playground and Rehoboth for a day. We did a Pirate ship excision out of Lewes thst was great fun for kids. The house was great + the cousins shared the twin bedroom which was perfect for them. They were facinated by the bunk beds, but not quite ready for that yet. Having 2 bathrooms was a plus! We loved the enclosed porch + ate our meals + did some crafts + watched the birds. Being able to have a fire + toast marshmallows under the stars was amazing. A little bit of a hike fir a 2 + 3 year old on the path to the beach, but we brought a beach wagon + did fine. We lappreciated our special time together at this house on the bay.

Quiet Autumn Retreat

The location on the dunes is fantastic yet the cottage isn’t too fancy. Perfect for family gatherings, beach walks and enjoying nature. The wifi is strong so you can continue to work remotely.

Nice getaway

What a nice beach cottage! Beautiful views of the bay. The beach was great and not crowded .The home is charming and was perfect for us. Having a washer and dryer is nice so you are not bringing home wet suits and clothes towels.

Great Location but needs updating

Paying for location. Home is dated. Needs new furnishings and updated appliances. The washing machine shakes the entire house and bangs so loud the children were scared of it. Barely any thing to prepare meals with. Everything was ancient. Not one sharp knife. Only one small television makes it hard to entertain little ones. This would be a nice rental for an older couple.

Quiet and Cozy

We spent a week with our daughter’s family at this Delaware Beach cottage. It’s a simple, clean and comfortable venue. The beach is the attraction when weather permits. The town of Lewes is close for interesting shopping, many restaurants, and kids activities like the pirate ship and the bounce house.

Loved it!

Great location, fabulous porch with view of the sea, modest and comfortable home: everything I like in a beach house. In April there are no bugs so we also enjoyed the deck. Huge sandy beach with very few people. Close to Prime Hook preserve for birding and walking. Cape Henlopen has dedicated trails that would be great for biking with kids (popular and busy though). We kayaked from Milton, cute park and old town. Pay attention to the tides to know how hard you want to kayak back… Enjoy!

Quiet Retreat but loads of things to do for all

It was a cozy beach house with fantastic views. Everything we needed. My mother wants me to come back again next year. We kept tracking in sand but kept my roomba going which was a godsend. Everything perfect, just one idea: microwaveable dishes. The closet bathroom was cute and useful. Loved being close to Prime Hook for trails, birding and kayaking. Also to Milton for groceries and amazingly good meals.

The cottage was very much as depicted in the listing. The proximity to the beach was its best feature! We loved the outdoor shower and the closed in porch. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was nice. The kitchen was in need of better equipment (pans, utensils) and the place really could use a gas grill. The beach was really amazing - it is essentially a private beach. You can just leave your stuff and go back to the house for lunch. Our dog had the time of her life. The sunrise and sunsets were absolutely exquisite. Broadkill beach is the bay not the ocean so with the calm waters you must watch out for jellyfish- both myself and my daughter were stung. Bring bug-spray because there were green flies that bite. All in all, if you’re looking for a 100% relaxing beach vacation, this house is awesome. With some minor tweaks it really could be a dream.
