Perfect for golfers
Great location by a beautiful beach. Nice hotel with a family feel. Amazing golf and scenery nearby. We enjoyed it!

Beautiful views!
The room was spacious and had a wonderful view. My husband found the bed to be uncomfortable though. The breakfast was terrific, and close walk to the beach. Staff was friendly and attentive. Close to town, lots of activities to do.

Wonderful Stay!
Our stay at The Coast Lodge was one of our highlights of our first visit to Ireland. From check in, receiving a fresh hot pot of tea, to the very spacious and clean room, to the fresh variety at breakfast....all fantastic! Special recognition to Tara and Charlotte, for exceptional service, with a smile! We highly recommend a stay at this hidden Gem of a facility.

Quaint property operated by very personable and customer service focused staff and the principle co-operator. Couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. Enjoyed our dinner and breakfast - lots of options that were prepared and presented with care.

Great restaurant as part of lodge. Breakfasts were generous and tasty. Dinners were also very good and prices were what we have been seeing all over Ireland.

Staff friendly. Breakfast ok. NOT a hotel much less 4 star. 2 star guest house. Describing C. L. as a four star hotel is ludicrous and unfair to proper 4 star hotels.

Disappointing
Hotel was not like description on website. Dated, drab and cold and strong smell of fish and chips even in bedroom. Dangerous step down into bathroom and steep stairs to bedroom. Very unsuitable for older people.Did not stay even though we had to forfeit one nights payment. Staff very understanding of our concerns. Should more accurately be described as fish and chip shop with rooms.

This is an amazing family run property. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for an excellent stay. I highly recommend this gem. You will not be disappointed. The location on Spanish Point is spectacular as well. Gorgeous sunsets right outside the front door!

The Coast Lodge is located right across a medium travelled road from the beach. Check in was very easy. The restaurant was located just downstairs. The breakfast was made to order and hot. The rooms and lodge are a little dated but in good repair and clean. Due to the beach location, we wish we had more time to spend here.

This property is normally just a bit out of our price range, but WOW! We got a great deal and it was worth full price. Service was exemplary. View was absolutely amazing. We watched the tide go in and out from our room. The hotel is slightly dated, but the service far, far, far outweighed it. Treat yourself. This place is worth it :)

The Coast Lodge - Cottage/Suite Review
It was fantastic. Food was Amazing. My room had everything and was also peaceful and quiet. All the staff were very helpful and kind. Will definitely return again in the future.

Le bon côté : accueil correct, petit dej très bien! (Repas du soir très bien aussi) Vue sur océan très sympa et peu de passage sur la route. Négatif : Chambre familiale très grande mais vraiment vieillotte. Sol/moquette impression qu’il y a des trous. Lit plus ou moins confortables. Matelas fatigué. Salle de bain vraiment bof. Douche avec zéro pression. Manquait une partie de la porte de la douche. Rapport qualité/prix : Nuitée chère par rapport à d’autres b&b du comté de Clare.

Property is old and has had some quirky conversions. Clean. People were nice and food was good at the attached restaurant. Location out on Spanish Point was not so convenient for sightseeing. Beautiful views. Depends on the purpose of the visit.

So, the washing machine is busted, flooded the kitchen floor, which shot the fuse and we were without internet or TV and couldn’t shower since there was no hot water. The property owner we found out gave us a refund of $20 !!. Very disappointed! That said, the staff who work there, Natasha especially was just amazing, she and her colleagues did everything in their power to help us. They are the nicest, helpful, amazing staff we have ever met. My low rating reflects the property not the staff.
