The shuttle service was amazing, barely had to drive anywhere and the drivers were very friendly and helpful! The view of the Bay was by far the best!!! Love this place, definitely in my plans to come back one day!!

1. The staff was lovely and very welcoming. They answered all questions and were knowledgeable on the area 2. The room itself was very clean. It’s an old school room so don’t expect luxury but i was clean and had everything you needed 3. The hotel itself is not walking distance from anything (beach, restaurants, etc) but they had a shuttle that ran every 30 mins.

The room was spacious and initially impressive but closer inspection revealed extensive wear and tear, as well as signs of neglectful upkeep. The mattresses were especially disappointing and felt very low quality - they were so uncomfortably soft from age that we slept very poorly throughout the stay. We checked out a day early due to these poor conditions.

Stayed here many times. It is my happy place and will continue to go! Plenty to do and the beach is always a crowd pleaser. The resort is family friendly, safe and has so much to offer.

The property had a shooting in the pool area. A person waved a gun at the attendees at the pool then shot himself in the pool. When we asked front desk if it was safe after it happened they provided 0 information. Traumatic for so many. We also found a cockroach within the hotel picture below. No parking if you wanted to go to the other pools.

This is not a hotel, it’s a timeshare. Upon arrival they told us we will have a room change the next morning because the people assigned to the time-share will be arriving the next day. The condos are not cleaned thoroughly, we had to ask the front desk to send someone to vacuum the carpet of our second condo; it was obviously dirty with food crumbs, toe nails, dirt. They don’t dust either, we ended up doing our own dusting and cleaning surfaces once we moved in. The couches are old and look dirty, we used bed sheets to put on top on couches so we can seat on it. We also didn’t walk bare feet on the carpet even after they vacuumed, it just looked old and dirty. The climb from the parking lot up to the condo was disappointing and not welcoming, the hallways floors were dirty and dark. As far as the rest of the Sandestin resort, it was nice and no complaint there. We were able to enjoy the beach area, pool, laundry and restaurant. The employees working in the building were friendly and helped with our needs.

My husband and I brought our 2 daughters 18 & 10 to visit from Indianapolis. We were SO happy with the room and property. But the food at Restaraunt’s we tried on site was not good and Hugh priced. We ordered those giant cocktails for $35 and they didn’t even give us a buzz at all. My ribs were dry and the ribs and sides tasted old like leftovers heated in microwave, my daughters shrimp were small and didn’t get very many, My husband got the brisket and it was like a leftover that had been cooked earlier and then reheated and dry. For the price it was bad. We had a few bites and no one wanted to finish their meals. We give it a 3/10 … However the morning breakfast from the restaurant Ruby Slipper was very good. I had yummy biscuits and gravy with eggs cooked perfectly and the gravy flavor was great. My latte there was good too. Daughters loved their French toast bites and their blt with fried green tomato’s! She loved her ice coffee there too. We would go back to that restaurant. We also ate at the Marina restaurant for dinner and drinks and it was a 6/10 with the drinks being the perk. Doriotes nachos were ok, Chicken pineapple fajitas were good. Overall, the Beach and pool were great Room was great, bed was comfy. Overall we had a lovely trip and when we visit again we would sadly go off site to eat. We did eat off site at Olive Garden once too and it was 7/10 but much better than resort food.

My experience with this property and Expedia was absolutely unacceptable and deeply disappointing. After traveling 12 exhausting hours with my two children, we arrived at the hotel only to find it completely unstaffed. No one was there to help us check in, and despite multiple calls to both the property and Expedia, we received no assistance. I had no choice but to find another hotel late at night, paying out of pocket just to shelter my family. During my discussions with Expedia, the agent stated that I had to check in between 4 PM and 5 PM or I would not be able to check in at all. This policy is completely unrealistic for travelers arriving later in the day, but to make matters worse, no check-in instructions or warnings about this were provided at any point—no emails, no calls, no details anywhere. How was I supposed to know? The following day, we managed to check in. The young lady at the front desk was incredibly kind—the only saving grace in this entire ordeal. However, the rest of the experience quickly turned sour again. Two other front desk agents were rude and dismissive. One turned their back on us while another agent muttered “uhuhhhh” while staring at the computer, which felt like a snide dismissal—almost as if he was saying, "this is the troublemaker!" By then, I chose to stay quiet because I was completely fed up. The room was even worse. It felt unclean and moldy, with an old, sticky carpet and grimy tiles.
