Every positive review is accurate. Upon arrival via seaplane, we were greeted by a group of waving staff. Our personal concierge, Athyk, put us on a golf cart and whisked us to check-in, then a quick tour, and to our room. Our room was 108 (overwater villa) and amazing. All amenities were great, bed was “Heavenly”, Wi-Fi worked. All our US plugs worked! Once there, get ready to relax! The gym was good, food was awesome! The service was perfect! We’re not big drinkers, so booked the full board FB plan which included breakfast, lunch & dinner. The breakfast buffet had everything. For lunch, we could opt for 2 items (appetizer, main course, and/or dessert). For dinner, you got all 3. The portions were perfect. We waddled away from the table at every meal. We stayed 8 nights which allowed us to visit the Japanese restaurant twice for a 7-course meal … amazing! Without exception, every single staff member greeted us as we walked by. Coming from a hospitality background, I was thoroughly impressed. Other than the gym, we snorkeled from the room a few times and did a “beginner“ dive. The vacation was to relax and that’s exactly what we did! Athyk checked in with us often to make sure all was good. A perfect 10 out of 10 in every area! Don’t think about it, just book it!

Amazing experience at the Westin. From the natural beauty of the island to the excellent service and food we had this one of the best vacations we’ve had to date. All 3 restaurants were superb. Chef Min even made us tandoori chicken and biryani via special order that was amazing. We also did a sea turtle/manta snorkel trip that was unforgettable. Thanks to all the staff with special thanks to Laurent, Youssef, Chef Min and Jinaan.

The full board is not really full board. Their are a lot of up charges, room service isn’t included and one dinner place is free 1 time. Plus there is a $500 per person round trip fare fee for the sea plane.

Amazing stay! It was far from what we expected. From the moment we arrived at Male airport until departed from the same airport, Westin staff were very very helpful. We were so lucky to have Lola as our host that attended to pur questions patiently. Sovia as assistant front office manager who welcomed us warmly and keep checking our satisfaction level. Youssef as a restaurant manager who really did extra miles for us. He visited us in every single meal and always asked our needs, feedback, and shared lots of stories. Haifa from Kids Club, helped by Koo, they’re very friendly. My daughter couldn’t skip her chance to go to Kids Club every day and had a great time there. They prepared lots of fun activities including playing by the beach, painting shells, and decorating cupcakes! Hisham from Click really did a great job taking our family photos. He’s very patient and friendly although my daughter keep complaining The best Chef: Chef Mac (The Pearl), Chef Deli (The Pearl) and Chef Rere (Hawker) that we met since our first night there, thank you so much for your service and kindness. Since they know that we’re Indonesian, they’re trying their best to cook something that suits our palate. Chef Deli even cooked pepes tahu (Indonesian style tofu) as requested and prepared dabu dabu sambal. Last but not least, the room service staff who we couldn’t get the names, they’re being extremely attentive and caring. To all of the staff, you’re really appreciated

Disappointed with the service and the property
I wish I could leave a better review but time and time again we were quite disappointed with the property and more importantly the service that we received. Upon arrival our room was not what was portrayed by Hotels.com we spent 4 nights in a room that we did not want after making a big fuss we were finally switched to a room that we booked. The service during meal service was excellent but the selection was very poor the buffets were extremely limited and even their staff acknowledged that the selection is very poor. Lastly, our host has been ignoring for about a month now, we left behind a high value item which they eventually located (even though it was left right in the closet) but we have been waiting for them to ship it, the frustrating part is that we provided a shipping account number and literally just want them to put it in a box - for me that is terrible service especially for a 5 star hotel. There are so many stunning properties in Maldives I definitely would not recommend this one.

Wonderful Break!
Amazing property, stayed 5 nights at the water villa with private pool overlooking the ocean and sunset. It has a beautiful architecture and the villa is nicely layout. The menu has simple and good selection of dishes with fresh ingredients. The lobster teppanyaki at the Japanese restaurant, ‘The Pearl’ was nicely prepared and the lobster was succulent. All the service staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Had a wonderful experience, thank you Westin Maldives!

The hotel was quite, friendly and many complimentary offers. Beautiful design of the room and nice events. I didn't like the lack of privacy; in terms of staff approach all the time and quality of engagement and understanding of requests. Also, boats and sea planes nearby the villas bad for privacy. The bathroom view didn't have curtains and was visible to outside.

Ayant beaucoup voyagé, je peux affirmer que cet hotel est parfait!!! Le personnel est d’une gentillesse incroyable et le service est parfait! Vous pouvez demander ce que vous voulez quand vous le voulez et s’ils peuvent le faire alors il le feront!! La villa « Overwater Villa Pool » est vraiment top! Attention par contre pour les chambes exposées côté Nord. (Vent et courant plus fort mais surtout et certainement le seul point noir de l’Hotel : l’hydravion se pose plusieurs fois par jour juste devant et fait vraiment un bruit incroyablement fort!!! Nous avons même demandé pour changer de chambre car c’était insupportable d’être réveillé tous les jours en sursaut à cause de ça) Ensuite le séjour fut parfait!!

Warm welcome from all the staff since we got off the plane at Male. Excellent service from everyone at the resort until your departure at the Male international airport. When seeing everyone from other resorts was looking for their way to check in, staff from Westin has already well prepared for US. That is definitely 5 stars service. Saajy was our butler. He showed us around when we first arrived at the resort. He was 100% understand our needs. We complained about our view in our private pool is blocking by the fence (Room 116) and Saajy tried his best to organize / switch another room for us. He did an excellent job during our stay. Make ourselves don't have to worry about anything at our stay for our honeymoon.

The Westin was magnificent! I absolutely enjoyed every minute of my stay. My friend and I booked an over the water bungalow last minute (the day before) and we were concerned about the hotels ability to arrange for transportation from the main island since it a last minute request. They responded to our booking fairly quickly and was able to arrange for someone to pick us up from the airport and take us to our seaplane. He took us to a waiting area in the airport for the hotel which was packed with snacks and refreshments. When the seaplane landed, our personal butler met us via speedboat and gave us a tour of the island before taking us to our room. Most of the hotel staff spent days at a time on the island so we typically saw the same faces everyday which we really liked. They started to memorize our usual orders and always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. Our butler was also very accommodating. He took a load off of us and did all of the tedious planning tasks that come with vacationing. He built an itinerary of activities for us that included snorkeling, jet skiing and a spa visit. The island is about a 10 minute walk however if we were running late for breakfast he would pick us up from our room and drive us to the other end of the island. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the Westin to as a place to stay if you're looking for a smaller more intimate island in the Maldives.

We had a good time at The Westin & the service was great. The only disappointment was the food quality in Hawker Restaurant. It would be better if they can hire some Chinese or Thai chef.

From the reception at the seaplane lounge to checking in and leaving Male after our 5 day trip, the service rendered by the staff was nothing short of amazing. I was surprised as I've stayed at other westin hotels and the service in their maldivian property really upped the ante. The resort itself, although it opened for only a month, had surprisingly almost no teething issues I could complain about and I was expecting some, apart from the quality of the breakfast which was hit or miss but honestly had more hit than misses. That being said, there might have been some issue with buffet food freshness due to the low volume of guests as my partner had a serious case of diarrhoea lasting more than a day. The sunset overwater pool villa (106) was simply one of the best on the island as it was the equivalent of a corner room with panoramic views only 3 villas had as far was we could tell. The Westin Heavenly bed was simply that, and the villa layout was well thought through to ensure guests had an unobstructed view of the horizon even while doing your number 2. Markif who was our butler was outstanding and nothing seemed too difficult for him to help us out with. He was authentic and sincere and a true definition of the word hospitable. Koo who sent us off was also really friendly and great at keeping us entertained despite the long wait for our flight at Velana airport. I would visit the resort again in a heartbeat if their opening rate were available all year round :)
