Hotell nära Montagus museum

“This little hidden pearl is worth a visit for sure. Ideal for children and people who likes the quiet country lifestyle. Loads of animals and the omelette in the morning tasted a little better just by knowing it came from the farm hens, tomatoes from the garden etc etc. We saw 2 little goat babies come to life before we left. How amazing is that? And a free turtle came to visit us as well. Very surreal but from a kids perspective it’s perfect. The only minus would be the long dirt road...

“It was a perfect stay and rest. Stay longer and they have many things to do in the area. Hikes, guided tours, cycling, motor bike club and even a Rolls Royce car tour. The host was wonderful and caring, it was a lovely stay Colin from London”

“Lovely hotel in a lovely small town. Nice to stroll around and good hiking in the vicinity. Had a very nice room, Garden suite, (were upgraded). Nice staff. Good food but perhaps a bit overpriced. The same glass of (own) wine that cost R 55 at the hotel cost considerably less at a different restaurant in town. All in all we were very happy with our stay and can definitely recommend Mimosa Lodge!”

“We really enjoyed our stay. Especially our Toy Poodle and Yorkie. They could roam around freely, because the premises is safe and dog-proof. We enjoyed the goodies supplied and the owners are very friendly. The cottage is nice and big and we especially enjoyed the Netflix. Only negatives, here and there things that were not completely clean, like drawers and over gloves, etc but nothing that a thorough clean can't fix. Overall the place was clean enough. We will definitely go again.”

“Overall a very nice experience. Only negative is the location next to the road. But it was not as noticeable as I would have thought and I'm quite the anti noise pollution type of person. Good food even though they tried a bit too hard and dishes were a bit over worked. But plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity. We stayed with 3 children for 2 nights and got a couple of very charming and spacious rooms adjacent to each other.”
