Hi Valerie, we would love to have heard about the issues you had while staying at the Ocean Surf during your stay. They were no reports made at the fdesk. If your AC was malfunctioning it would have been replaced immediately. However when the AC is set for a certain temperature, and the room reaches that particular temperature it automatically turns off and will go back on if the temperature in the room changes. You stayed for two nights and no complaint was made at the desk. Once we have a complaint it is handled immediately . You are correct if you wish to have a Beachfront Room , you would need to book a Beachfront Platinum room. Hence if you book a SideView Room , you will need to look at an right angle to see the beach. The grills outside only worked with charcoal because they are Charcoal Grills, not Propane Grills

Thanks for your review. We do have an ample supply of Beach chairs and umbrellas at the front desk. You just need to request them directly at the desk. The pool loungers are locked to the fence to avoid guests taking them down to the beach.

Thanks for your review. We at Ocean Surf values all reviews and suggestions to ensure that all our guests have a wonderful stay with us. My sincere apology if you didn't get maid service before 2pm. However our housekeeping services rooms between 9 am- 4pm providing there is no do not disturb sign posted on the door. We do have direct access to the beach from the property. However, for the safety of our guests we recommended that weekend for all guest to use an alternate access due to the erosion of the beach. The town of Montauk has since replenished the sand on the beach and the access from our property is safe now for guest to use. Sorry for any the inconvenience this may have caused.

Thanks Mike for your feedback . We at Ocean Surf Resort makes one of our top priorities, is to ensure the safety of our Guests and Staff. All Guests upon checking in ,signs a Pool Waiver. This outlines all Pool rules . One of the rules for Guests safety is No Diving or Jumping in the pool. These signs are also posted in the pool area and again this is for the safety of all Guests and Staff .

Thank you for your valued feedback . We will implement a system that will allow the BBQ area to be used fairly among all guests next season. We do have beach chairs and umbrellas for rent at front desk ( based on availability)

We are sorry that you were disappointed in the room that you booked, which was a Sideview Room .In the future I would recommend booking an Oceanfront Front Gold Studio or a Beachfront Platinum Room , these rooms have a view of the ocean. For the safety of our guests we closed the property access to the beach due to severe erosion. However its less than a minute walk to get to another access , which is in close proximity to our property. Sorry for any inconvenience that this might have caused.

We are sorry that the hotel's access was closed during your stay , however this was for the safety of our Guests. Due to the severe erosions on our beaches , the Town of Easthampton had replenished the sand more than once on the beach, but it got eroded. It was on our website the date that the pool would be opened for the season. Unfortunately ,it was not during the time of your stay. Most outdoor pools are scheduled to be opened Memorial Weekend. We definitely will be checking all the mattresses on property and will replacing the ones that needs to be changed. Thanks again for your valid feedback

I am sorry you were disappointed in the room that you booked. However in your confirmation it clearly stated you booked a room with Limited View not Oceanfront or Beachfront.
