âWe stayed here 41 years ago on our honeymoon and decided to stay 2 nights on a recent trip through California. I am so relieved to know it is just as charming as it was then! Room was cozy (nice bed/bedding) and roomy. Grounds were lovely. Feels quaint. We went to the restaurant for happy hour (which was great) but it was so good that we decided to just eat dinner there as well. Easy walk to wharf, Trader Joe's and other dining options. We would happily come stay again sometime (hopefully...

âThe hotel is on the same street that all the shops are on, so that was very convenient, my room face the ocean and it was a beautiful view. everyday that I woke up, I watch the sunrise while I watched the otters eat in the ocean. I watched seals play right from my balcony, i will be staying there again, definitely. â

âStayed there while attending Monterey Jazz Festival. Very nice location. Parking could be better. I decided to valet park. Beautiful ocean views. My wife really liked it. That's all that mattered!â
âCannot say enough good things about the entire staff! So nice and very accommodating â and, always available. Hot breakfast in mornings, free glass of wine in evenings only make EVERYONE happier! (Even fellow guests were nice!) Also loved the private patio â it made all the difference in our stay!! Would return in a heartbeat!â

âThis inn is beautifully restored! The furnishings and details are amazing! Breakfast was delicious and the cookies, wine, and charcuterie in the evening were a nice added touch. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. Staff was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Parking lot is a added plus.â
âVery fresh. Stayed one night on our "Highway 1 roadtrip". If we had known how perfect the lodge is, we should have arrived one day earlier and stayed for two Days.
Very good standard of the room, very Clean and also a very nice and helpful staff. Perfect!â
