Overall the room was nice, I had the deluxe room, and it was clean, tidy and quite large, the view was bad though, looked on to a brick wall, but I overall couldn't complain. The only thing I would mention is the area around the hotel can be a bit unsafe at times, I would not recommend going out at night as there was a number of suspicious individuals around. But for the hotel itself I felt fine they lock the front door and provide you a key code to get in to the hotel, that way no one can get in unless they have the code.
Now I will say that the individual rooms don't have a deadbolt or a door latch and the only lock it a keycode lock.
Also I should mention that at the time of me staying there the internal AC seems to not have been working so they had installed a window AC unit, it worked fine and for my large room it seemed to cool the room well enough.
One benefit I did not see mentioned about the area is that there is a box bike rental station very close to the hotel and a IGA grocery store a couple of blocks away if you're trying to be cheap like me while backpacking.
Would I recommend this place? For people with families, probably not...
But for solo backpackers like me I would recommend it overall.
