“Great hotel”

“This is the coziest hotel I have ever stayed at. A warm atmosphere and fantastic staff. My daughter and I stayed the night of Halloween, and it turned into a wonderful experience.”

“Front desk representative was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was more than adequate, and the manager of the breakfast area was so personable with everyone. I stayed in a fourth floor king suite. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The layout was a little strange, and while they had a modified kitchen set up, there was no silverware in the drawers, and the cupboards were completely empty. “Staff and property was Excellent. But EXPEDIA totally messed up the reservation. Their offshore help was friendly but very unhelpful. Their unwillingness to resolve their screw-up cost be $$$ (and I am just a low paid worker), so it made the caused the entire stay to be miserable”

“Older place yet clean. Bathroom lacked vent and steamed up very quickly. shower head was harsh with little adjustment. Koi pond was cool. Pool and spa were okay. Breakfast was great. Desk staff were very friendly.”

“The Shire is in a wonderful location and I would recommend for a short stay. They are in the midst of a renovation and the rooms and exterior are nice and well kept. My only issue was that the coffee bars were not well stocked all the time with the same variety and the ice machine was not well stocked as it ran out of water to produce ice during our 2 night stay. Otherwise, the place and location is wonderful.”

“The room was clean, quiet and large. The King bed was really comfy. There was an odd amount of open space in the room that felt empty. There could have easily fit a table and extra seating or a couch. The shower didn’t have much pressure and the temperature kept fluctuating on its own. Other than that, it was a decent stay without any frills.”
