This beautifully decorated first-floor apartment is an enticing getaway for a couple or small family in the heart of charming Warkworth. It’s situated at the end of a row of terraced, stone cottages near both the riverbank, with its pretty walks, and the heart of the village – where you’ll find interesting shops and welcoming places to eat and drink. The beach is just 1 mile away, while lovely Amble is 2 miles away, offering a bustling harbour, great seafood and boat trips to see puffins. While in Warkworth a tour of the dramatic ruined castle is a must, and if you love castles you’ll want to see some more: choose from Alnwick (aka ‘The Windsor of the North’), Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Chillingham, all within 34 miles. For bird watching, hiking and water sports, head to scenic Duridge Bay, 4.5 miles, or play golf at Alnmouth, 5 miles.

Step up from the pavement into the elegant hallway, where there’s space to hang coats and store footwear before heading straight up the stairs. The main bedroom is bright and airy, with a king-size, four-posted bed and a large, floor-standing mirror. A memory-foam mattress and luxury linens will help with a great night’s sleep, and there’s ample storage for clothes. Another bedroom adds options for different guest configurations, this time a single with hanging space, drawers and a dressing table. The two bedrooms share a bathroom which features a rainfall shower over the bath.

While there is no designated outside space for the apartment, you can sit by the river, about 200 metres away, and enjoy the lovely views. As for parking, you may unload at the front door and then find free roadside parking either at the riverbank or in the main village (approximately 100 metres away).
