Holiday Home in Motala

This spacious, exclusive holiday home features a heated swimming pool and a large terrace of 150 square metres. The beautifully decorated house is located only 700 metres from lake Vättern, in Västanvik. The interior of the house is light and airy, and tastefully furnished. The kitchen features everything you need, including a dishwasher and a spacious wine cooler. The living room is equipped with a dining table, a large, comfortable sofa and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. There are three bedrooms, each one features a double bed. There's also an extra bed in one of the bedrooms. In the bathroom there's a WC, a washbasin, a shower, and a washing machine. The bathroom has underfloor heating. Your house is only 700 metres from the beach. There's also another beach, Hargebaden, about 10 kilometres away. Hargebaden has a big outdoor swimming pool with a water slide. The area offers plenty to see and do. Örebro is 80 kilometres away. The city centre of Örebro was voted the most beautiful in Sweden in 2015. Don't miss the marvellous castle from the 1300's when you are there! Other fun activities in Örebro include a guided “ghost walk”. The largest water park in Sweden is situated in Gustavsvik, and is also worth a visit. Another great destination is the old, picturesque town of Vadstena, set 35 kilometres south of Västanvik. Vadstena was once up for becoming the capital of Sweden, before Stockholm was chosen. King Gustav Vasa built a castle here, in the middle ages, and it still stands today, in excellent shape. There are also several beautiful old churches you can visit, as well as a convent where the Birgitta-sisters live. This is the town that Saint Bridget is from and it offers plenty of culture and historical sites. Between Ödeshög and Vadstena you will find the ruins of the monastery Alvastra Kloster, set in beautiful surroundings right by the mountain Omberg.
