    Beechwood är ett charmigt hem med 4 bäddar och 3 badrum inbäddat på över två tunnland med utsikt över Denning Brook. Denning Brook-området är en utfodrings- och häckande mark för många infödda fåglar inklusive kala örnar, fiskgjuse, stora blå häger, hackspettar och hundratals sångfåglar.

    När du kommer in i hemmet, hälsas du av en öppen planlösning med ett välvt lövvedstak. Två franska dörrar drar dig direkt mot det stora däck med utsikt över Denning Brook och det är rikligt med vilda djur. Matsalen och vardagsrummet med takfönster skapar ett bekvämt utrymme för hela familjen att samlas. Fästet är ett fullt utrustat kök med frukostbord.

    Den nedre våningen master svit med en queen size-säng har ett privat badrum med jacuzzi. Ett andra sovrum i bottenvåningen har en dubbelsäng och badrum samt en tvättmaskin / torktumlare. På övervåningen, ett andra "master" sovrum med queen size-säng, ett sovrum med två enkelsängar och ett fullt badrum runt planlösningen. Ett härligt däck som är överfullt av blommor, en gasgrill och sittplatser utanför är det perfekta stället att titta på fåglar när solen går ner över Denning Brook. Den stora privata gräsmattan är perfekt för gräsmatta eller läsning.

Wonderful fall weekend

We had a wonderful fall weekend at the Sunny Saltbox. Perfectly located for enjoying both the quiet side of the island and the busy side. Very comfortable accommodations, which were perfect for family.

Easy check-in. Very well stocked kitchen. Great location on the quiet, less crowded side of Mt Desert. Southwest Harbor just down the road and an easy drive to enter Acadia or go into Bar Harbor to shop or eat. Jen was a delight to deal with; she answered all my questions promptly.

House was spotless and generously stocked with everything we could need. We especially appreciated the well-organized and labeled kitchen. Property management could not have been more responsive. When we needed a tutorial on using the dryer, help showed up right away, the day before 4th of July! Central location perfect for exploring the island and layout of house flexible to accommodate our extended-family party. Thank you for an excellent stay!

Beautiful views off back deck

This is a charming and spacious home with 4 comfy bedrooms. The views of the marsh off the back deck were beautiful and peaceful and a wonderful place to enjoy an early morning coffee. There were lots of amenities from spices to kids games and they provided plenty of information on the area. We truly enjoyed our stay! The location is also very convenient to accessing the whole island. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

The location was perfect. We were just a few miles from everything. We enjoyed being out in the woods. The stars were amazing. The house itself was nice but we felt it could have been a little cleaner. We removed several cobwebs.

Home away from home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beechwood. The view from the deck each morning of the fall colors and misty fog layer was truly memorable. As promised, the home was cozy and comfortable, a place to relax and recharge after a day in Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. We found the location to be close to the park, restaurants, and shops, but also off the main road just enough to provide quiet surroundings. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some simple meals. All in all, it was a great place for us to stay.

Lovely Hide-a-way

The home was just as described and worked out perfectly for our (extended) family of 6. plus our dog. There was no shortage of amenities and we enjoyed gathering around the huge table for meals and board games. The property is close to many park entrances, grocery stores, and is a short car ride to Bar Harbor. Just off a main street, the home itself is secluded and on a quiet road. We enjoyed the deck as well. All-in-all a great place to stay when visiting beautiful Arcadia. :-)

Well stocked and in good condition

We rented this house over the Memorial Day long weekend, with another family; four adults, two kids and a baby fit very comfortably. Everything was clean and in good condition, and the place was well stocked - even the kitchen and bathrooms. There was a huge grill on the patio in great shape, and even the knives in the kitchen were sharp. Communication with Jen was easy and she was very helpful with info. You should have no reservations about renting this place.

The property was very nice - we were grateful that it was available during early summer. The house was homey - not resort-like, and as advertised. We felt that there could have been more, and more comfortable indoor furniture (sofas, recliners, etc.) for a house that could possibly accommodate 8 people. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed, but not spacious - again, homey. We were not dissatisfied at all, but also not "pleasantly surprised" as we have been at some other properties.

Mount Desert Family Get Away

This is really a charming place that says "Maine" all over it! At first I wasn't sure about the location as its about a 15 or 20 minute drive from Bar Harbor. But it turned out to be perfect as Bar Harbor turned out to be incredibly busy and congested with traffic. So this location was really peaceful and offered easy access to Acadia National Park. It also offered the opportunity to discover the west side of Somes sound. There is some really great hiking there and the nearby town of Southwest Harbor is absolutely charming. The house itself is well appointed and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The communication with the manager was also fabulous as the day before our arrival a storm had knocked out power to the area. So we were well apprised of what was going on ahead of check out. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Perfect for our family

We stayed here as part of a family vacation with my husband, mother, sister, and aunt. My mother has an ankle injury so it was great to find a house with bedrooms and bathrooms on the main level, and easy entry through the front door. It was equipped with everything we needed, including some games and puzzles, and we especially appreciated having a washer & dryer. The property manager was very helpful and responsive. When we couldn’t find a tea kettle, she brought us one within half an hour The house is centrally located on the island so very easy to get to Acadia, Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, or off the island, but in a nice quiet area. We were glad we decided to stay here rather than in Bar Harbor. Only a few minor quibbles. Some of the bedroom & bathroom windows don’t have curtains or blinds, and there aren’t enough places to hang towels. There is only enough comfortable seating for 5 people in the living area, so it might be awkward for a larger group. Oh, and a few unwelcoming spiders when we first arrived, including one that built a web across the front door. Overall, the house worked well for us and we would definitely consider staying there again if we return to MDI.

Family fun in Maine

The property was clean and exactly what we expected. Bedroom and bathroom set up was perfect for 4 adults and 1 baby. 2 of us traveled solo, so you could easily add spouses and still be comfortable. The location is excellent. Easy drive to hike in Acadia and sight see all over the island. Only 15 mins to Bar Harbor for shopping, and eating! I highly recommend this property.

Awesome location! Great house!

This property was perfect for visiting all parts of Acadia. Close to Bar Harbor and even closer to Southwest restaurants. Easy to get to on apple maps but google maps takea you to wr g end of the street. House is fullystocked with sheets, towels, kitchen and washer and dryer. Great memories. Thanks Jen!

Fantastic family Getaway

My family of 6 enjoyed our stay at this property so much. The location was close to everything so it made a perfect home base. There is so much to do in the Bar Harbor area that we really didn't spend a ton of time at the house during the day. When we were there however we enjoyed having lunch on the deck, working on a puzzle on their huge dining room table or cooking in the well equipped kitchen. If you are looking for an ultra modern and up to date home, this is not for you. It is cozy and charming and more than adequate for a large family. I have travelled extensively and rented many homes. I was shocked at how well stocked the house was. I didn't need to buy anything extra. Soaps, towels, paper products, spices, air freshener. Basically, anything you needed they had. It was so nice. I have also never had an easier check in. The house was safe and clean and the entire rental was super easy! The internet was also excellent. This was surprising after reading reviews on Mr. Desert internet. Because the wifi was so good, we were also able to hook up our Roku stick and stream our favorite channels with ease. I would highly recommend this property.
