As it turned out, we were the only visitors staying in the hotel, so had a nice opportunity for a chat over a beer - well stocked with what appeared to be the full range of bottled beers from Purple Moose Brewery of Porthmadog.

âSuper hotel in middle of Dolgellau. Efficiently run by courteous friendly professional staff. We did not eat there but wish we had! Everything as it should be in a good hotel. Plentiful overnight parking in the long stay carpark behind the hotel. Some traffic noise as it is an old building with single glazing but that is to be expected. â

Everything was provided, from ecofriendly shampoo and bodywash to pristine robes and towels, a lovely coffee machine, fresh mik with the tea facilities and an excellent guide to the house, its facilities and local walks. Was Warmley greeted by the hotel staff and felt welcome straight away.
Was checked in and in my room within 5 minutes.
The room was a good size with a double bed , clean and modern bathroom and a large flat screen T.V.

âIts very peacefull and quite and clean.
Its self catering and shops are bit far so best take extra food and grocery.
We stayed in bunglow and they got nice clean kitchen with all the cooking facilities. Rooms are nice but mattress are bit old.View from bunglows are lovely,I ll try to share image. Staff are friendly. All in all 5 stars. Price reflects.

âThoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Ideal location for Fairbourne and surrounding area - you need to go to Dolgellau, Barmouth and try the Precipice Walk and Creggannan Lakes which were lovely walks with stunning views. Nice to get some milk and Welsh cakes which were lovely. Cottage was clean and comfortable, only minor negative was limited information about what to do at check out time, local contacts etc. and there wasnât much in terms of cleaning equipment apart from a broom so couldnât do...
âWe stayed at this lovely apartment 19th-23rd February on arrival it was easy to acess and clean we are a family of 4 two teens whoâve both said theyâd visit again.
The apartment is a five minute walk to the train station and the town and the beach is opposite.
Just a shame it werenât pet friendly!
