The blanket on the bed was old, worn, and ripped. No hand towels were provided. The bath tub had a steady drip of water (which is wasting countless amounts of water) and intead of repairing it housekeeping just plugs the drain so a water stain is avoided. Speaking of water- after we arrived, we awoke to no water and we had a funeral we were getting ready to attend. As luck would have it, it was pouring rain that day and we were made to gather all of our things , load them into the car, and drive down the road to another hotel to borrow a room to get ready in. BTW given the choice I would have rather just stayed in the borrowed room. It was nicer and slightly lower priced.
The moral of the story is you definitely get what you pay for. The manager did not seem very apologetic for the extreme inconvenience and didn't offer any type of compensation or discount. I have a lot of family in that area and I definitely won't stay there again.
