We stayed here to watch the solar eclipse, so weren't there for the fishing. Had a great time, such a good place! The restaurant is fantastic.

We came to view the eclipse & it was the perfect location! Really enjoyed being on the river! Great fishing, facilities & restaurant! Super nice staff! Clean rooms! Excellent trip!

We made a last minute trip from Austin, TX to Mountain View, AR for clear skies for the eclipse. Had no idea what this place would be like. I think we got the last two rooms. It’s a well maintained, lovely spot along the White River. The check in was easy, even arriving at midnight. We communicated with the owners, and they arranged for us to get the keys. We met people from all over, many regulars who come to fish and enjoy the beautiful Ozarks. Everyone there was friendly. Our stay was very relaxed and comfortable. We’re already thinking of returning to enjoy the cultural and natural sites of the area.

Where's the river?
When we booked, the info showed that we would have a river view. This was not the case and was very disappointing for us. The river view from the back porch was the #1 reason why we booked this place. Still a good stay, but there needs be a clear distinction on the booking site between a river view room and a non-river view room.

Great place. We stayed in the Main House by the dock. It was very nice and had a ton of space. The house had a musty/wet smell but overall would stay again.

Very rustic. Our room had mini blinds but didn’t have curtains. Not a deal breaker but for privacy and a break from outside lighting, it would have helped. Overall, very clean and extremely easy to check in. Love JoJo’s right on the property.

Nice and quite place near the river and by the famous Jo Jo's restaurant. Nice, kind and so helpful staff. Clean and kitchen is so useful to make breakfast, dinner, etc. So convenient for organizing the visit to the cavern, to hicking for Orzak paths, to swimm in the river, etc

Toilet did not flush right. Told them about it but they did not fix it. River level was so low they were not renting boats, only doing guided fishing tours. No fishing from their dock either, so the only fishing access they offered was the rather pricey guided trips.

Our room was very clean. We really enjoyed sitting out in the screened patio every morning watching the wildlife. It was very quiet and peaceful. The kids enjoyed the playground.

Jack’s is a rustic getaway on the White River. It is a wonderful place to stay for a fishing weekend. It is not fancy but the quiet scenic location near boat dock is hard to beat! Love visiting here!

As a place to stay while pursuing outdoor pursuits it is Jack’s is great. Just be aware that this is not a hotel. The rooms are just ok. No frills, painted cinder block walls, small bathrooms, etc. The proximity to the White River, Blanchard Caverns, Sylamore WMA, and Mountain View make it a great place to stay.

Good Overall. Short 10-15 min drive from downtown Mountain View. Easy check-in and check-out. Decent catfish restaurant on-site. Cleaning could be improved (mostly the floors). The screened-in back porch facing the river was really nice.

Jack’s is a nice and economical place to stay when trout fishing on the White River. The restaurant serves excellent catfish, I had a room with a kitchenette which made it easy for us to cook our meals. I’ve stayed there before and I’d stay again.

Wonderful location, beautiful place, and everyone we saw that worked there, were wonderful. The only two things were: shower curtain was folded down on the back bottom and when I went to unfold it there was mold all over the fold. The second was the people next to us had teenage boys who keep running in and out slamming the door and would lock the youngest boy out where he had to sit outside and bang on the door. This happen multiple times at night.

Great weekend getaway
Super nice and helpful staff. The resort is nothing fancy but very comfortable. The attached restaurant has delicious sweet tea, hush puppies, and catfish! Definitely family friendly with plenty to do in the area. We’ll be making plans to stay again in the future.

Overall a good place to stay near the river. JoJo’s has been one my favorite places to eat in Mountain View since my uncle worked there when I was a kid. Staff was soo friendly, loved the screened in porch also!
