Mama chicken and her hens vacation.
We absolutely loved the property and the cabin! While we didn't see any deer (our timing may of been off) we saw plenty of hawks and had a very territorial pair of hummingbirds that kept us company out on the back porch. It is at a dead end and very secluded with only sounds of nature and possibly ancestors, with a spectacualr view. The Jimmy Driftwood Barn, Mellons Country Store, and McSpaddens Dulcimer Shoppe is right down the highway the road and the town center is just a little further down.

Beautiful and private
I chose this rental for the total solar eclipse because of the unobstructed view to the sky. It was a great choice! What was supposed to be a family trip with four adults became a one-person getaway because of illness. I felt completely completely at ease staying alone. The cabin is comfortable and has everything needed for a quiet getaway. I would definitely stay here again.

New Year's Weekend 2023
As others have stated, the online pictures do not do this cabin justice! It is a beautiful place if you enjoy nature and seclusion!! Upon arrival, we had to contact the property manager for instructions on the hot tub but we received a very quick reply. The "hillbilly hot tub" is a great concept and looks neat, but it isn't the most comfortable. Great weekend get away to unwind and relax! It is very close to town but also very secluded. A couple of suggestions...the bed mattress feels like it needs to be replaced. It was very soft and felt like there was a dip in the middle. The addition of a smart TV would also be nice. The internet was great, but the TV would not connect without an ethernet cable and the router is not close to the TV. We like to watch Netflix and typically you can do so with Dish Network (the satellite service) but without the TV being connected to the internet, this was not an option. We tried connecting wirelessly but don't think the TV has the capability. I'm sure most people do not rent the cabin to watch TV but with our stay being during the winter months, that is what we like to do in the evenings. But all in all, this cabin is definitely worth the stay!

Perfect Weekend Getaway
Perfect small cabin for a getaway. Clean and beautifully furnished with a gorgeous view from the back deck. The cabin is secluded yet close to town and area attractions. We will likely return in the future.

Pine cone rental
The cabin was in a perfect location, outside of town but not too far and fairly secluded. It’s also very close to the hell creek natural area entrance i would suggest checking it out if you like hiking. The pictures do not do the property Justice the views are excellent.

Absolutely perfect!
I can’t stress enough how much I loved this little cabin! That view is breathtakingly beautiful from sunrise to sunset. It is really secluded and peaceful. I enjoyed watching the deer from the hot tub in the evening. The deck is just spectacular period. So great for stargazing! There were even a few hummingbirds left around in the morning that hadn’t flown South yet. The bed I slept in (master) was super comfy. I used both the tub & shower and the hot water is endless! The water pressure in the shower is great, too. The AC works really well. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I bought groceries and a puzzle on the way in and literally never left for two days. I just can’t say enough good things about this place. It helped restore some peace in my soul. Will definitely return. *even though I mostly stayed on property this trip, the town of Mountain View has so much to offer: two movie theaters (a twin cinema AND a fun drive-in), fantastic restaurants, shopping and live music.

The location and the cabin were perfectly suited for us. Our 86 year old cousin who lives nearby really enjoyed our visit. There were two minor problems during our stay that I called the manager about. She never returned my calls. I have stayed at many VRBO and have always had nothing but professional experiences. Like I said, we loved the cabin and the view was awesome! But I would have appreciated at least a callback.

Great location, quiet and nice view. I left my sister at the cabin while I was working in the area. The cabin is at the end of the road and you can't see the neighbors. Not far from town but still away from people. Deer were in the yard almost every day. The place was very clean and comfortable.

What a beautiful view this cabin has. We even got to enjoy a mam deer and her two babies in the backyard. Very quaint and quiet spot to enjoy your time near Mountain View.

9th Anniversary Trip
This cabin is the most cozy cabin we’ve stayed in. The view out the back is amazing along with the deer that visited daily. It is super clean and stocked with the necessities. We enjoyed Mountain View a lot my favorite part was just hanging out in the lovely cabin.

Relaxing and scenic
We loved how secluded and quiet the cabin was for our extended weekend getaway, even though the town of Mountain View was only a couple miles away. We spent evenings sitting on the deck talking and enjoying the scenic view. The hummingbirds coming by the bird feeder on the deck kept us entertained. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Mountain View had some nice shops to explore and buy souvenirs. We would definitely like to come back someday. It was a very relaxing and we enjoyed our stay.

Loved everything about this property. There were some cobwebs in the main room but that's not a reason to discredit the beauty of the property. Overall we had an outstanding stay at the Pine Cone. Thank you for letting us stay at your welcoming house.

Absolutely amazing!
This is by far one of the best cabins in Arkansas. The location and views were perfect! The pipes froze and busted on the hillbilly hot tub, and they were extremely quick to respond and repair.!! I build pools for a living, and getting a quick repair on such short notice is A+++ in my book! Very impressed. We will definitely be back!!!

Perfect Hideaway with Mountain Views
This property deserves ten stars! We rent a lot on VRBO and this is my favorite. If you are looking for seclusion and quiet with breathtaking views, this is a gem. Still only a ten minute drive from town and nearby attractions, there is plenty to do, but you may not want to leave this beautiful cabin. It has all the amenities you could want. Fully stocked kitchen, we stayed a week and only dined out 3x total. Instead we enjoyed dinner on the deck facing the view. Luxury linens, stocked with to and paper towels. Even extra towels for the hillbilly hot tub, which was wonderful! Can't wait to come back.

Excellent Stay
This property was just as described and even a little more! Very comfortable!!! There was lots of extras in the house. The decor was just beautiful and view from the back of the house was amazing!!! The road to the cabin was a little rough but managable for our Buick Enclave! The little hot tub was perfect for two!!! I was thankful for previous reviews to bring your own streaming device if you wanted to watch Netflix or any of those. We brought a Roku and it worked great!! It really had a secluded feel but was actually close to everything especially if you needed to run back to cabin for something. Lee Ann was great host!!! Answered all my questions and had everything all ready for us!! I would defiantly stay here again!!!!

Peaceful Cabin
The cabin is as listed and calm and peaceful in the Ozarks Hills...near Mountain View so easy trip into the Folk Music capital, Blanchard Caverns, and the Ozark Cultural center (a State Park) worth the visit. Don't let the road to the cabin put you off...its a metaphor for life...little rough, little bumpy but get through and the most calm, peaceful weekend we have had in a long time awaits. Relaxing on the deck, or in the "hillbilly hot-tub" under the moonlight was perfect.

Excellent Cabin, Excellent Location
We loved being at the Pine-cone Cabin. Pictures don't do it justice. Beautifully decorated, maintained (SUPER clean!!), and a stunning view. Located 5 min from town and so many fun things to do. We cooked all our meals in house and appreciated all the quality appliances. You will love this cabin!! Here's what you may want to know that the listing doesn't say as of July 2022: main road to cabin is not in the best repair, but there is an alternate road that is much better. Initial arrival during daylight hours is better due to the remoteness of the cabin. If you want to stream movies, bring your own streaming device. There is dish network for normal TV watching. WIFI is nice and strong - good enough for streaming on one device. If you're a puzzle fan, we brought a card table so as to leave the dining table free for meals...and there was plenty of room for setting that up. Enjoy!
