“I was overall happy with my stay at the Fairmont FKL, with one very important exception (listed under cons below). Pros: Close to the gondola, has a nice spa and decent gym. Mostly friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Okay level of cleanliness. Cons: Rooms do NOT look like they do in the hotel photos, they are dated and in need of a renovation. Rooms also have no AC which was almost unbearable during hot summer days. The worst con of them all is, however, that I was contacted after my stay because...

“The resort was excellent. Clean, tons of amenities. Workers were pleasant. Room was comfortable. Did have a surprise bill at the end where they charged $60 per day for valet and $50 per day for resort fee. This should have been discussed beforehand. ”

“Although we were there while the ski patrol strike began and continued throughout our stay, the Mountain Lodge and staff were excellent. They had activities such as an Apres-Ski party with Vueve Clicquot, a wine tasting event, and warm cookies daily in the lobby. They even allowed us to checkout early and refund us due to the strike. ”
