“I enjoyed my 3 night stay at ModernSouthHotel in diani beach that I extended my stay an additional two nights after examining other more expensive properties. Modern South has a nice pool, superb service (thanks Felix, Juma, Lugo,Patrick) from people who care, the rooms are fine (not luxurious but everything you need w plenty of space nice shower water pressure and a great firm bed w nice linens (that amazingly are changed daily!). Also, the beach is a 30 minute walk or an easy 100bob/$1usd...

“Very beautiful resort and friendly staff. We really loved it all from breakfast to dinner, the beach and pool. Just watch out for the boys at the beach, they are friendly but in the end they just wants your money, that is the same all over Diani beach. The good thing is that they are not allowed to come to your sunbed. We can absolutely recommend this place. ”

“A great find! The room was spacious and well maintained, the host was lovely, and it was a close walk to numerous stalls with a variety of goods and amazing fresh produce. Having a kitchen allowed me to stay in if I wanted, but the apartment was also close to bars and restaurants. There is a close-by bar that plays loud music, but not super late, and I actually liked hearing the local music. The people I met were so friendly! And really, the host was very accommodating and responded to questions...
