Litet rum men bra och modernt badrum
Hotel am Markt ligger mycket centralt på en liten gata nära Marienplatz. Personalen är trevlig och man har gjort det bästa möjliga av en ganska begränsad golvyta. Rummen är i minsta laget. Man har dock lagt en hel del krut på badrummen som är moderna och bra. Hotel am Markt passar för budgetresenären som stannar en dag eller möjligen två. Ska man stanna lite längre blir det för trångt.

Traditionellt rum, dock med superfräscht badrum!
Jättefint badrum, men den väggfasta sängen var sådär likaså heltäckningsmattan. Ligger dock oerhört centralt!

Centralt men mysigt
Ett riktigt mysigt hotell som ligger på en liten bakgata vilket gör att det känns lugnt och mysigt men trots det så är det bara högst 30 meter så är man mitt i stan med mysiga uteserveringarna och shopping.

Münchenweekend
Jag skulle möta en släkting som studerar i München. På hotellet fanns ingen lounge och det var en ganska dyr frukost som man kunde köpa till. Den serverades i ett kallt frukostrum. I övrigt ok med litet singelrum och övrigt. Jämför man med t ex Scandic hotellen så är de mer prisvärda och har fler faciliteter. Men Am Markt ligger väldigt centralt och mysigt.

I've seen some comment about rooms being small. The nature of the building somewhat dictates this, and for a single, mine was absolutely fine. The same goes for the small lift - you'd struggle to fit a bigger one in, so be patient! There's obviously been a refurbishment, which I liked, and the staff were great. I didn't have the breakfast, so can't comment on that. The location is great, right in the heart of the Alte Stadt, with many key spots within walking distance. The market itself is fantastic, too (be prepared at the beer stall and a couple of the coffee places for cash only transactions). There are some potential downsides - no fridge or kettle in the room - but neither of these bothered me. A double set of windows meant that personally I didn't find things noisy. I will certainly return to this hotel next time I'm in Munich.

The location is amazing for exploring Munich. Close to sits, restaurants and public transportation. A few of the prior ratings mentioned hotel staff didn’t speak English. We did not find that to be the case.

Great location
The hotel was in a great location. Super easy to get to and right at the market. The room itself was tiny and being on the first floor the garbage trucks woke me up quite early. I’d suggest asking for an upper floor room.

The hotel is centrally located in the heart of old town Munich. Just steps from restaurants, cafes, the open market and many beautiful sights. The room was 2 twins and very small for my daughter and I. There was a large fan but no A/C. The front desk clerk did not speak any english and we don't speak German, but we were able to communicate ok with our translate apps. The parking garage is about 2 blocks away, and I learned the second day that we could get some parking covered by presenting the parking ticket to the front desk.

Charming hotel on cobblestone walkway within walking distance of many attractions, dining and public transport. I would definitely recommend. One thing of note: there is no air conditioning but there is a fan in the room - with windows open at night, that helped cool off the room.

A nice boutique hotel in the center of Munich. Easily walkable to most all of the main attractions and shopping. The adjacent market was really cool! Breakfast at the onsite restaurant was good as well.
