The property is beautiful and the view from the Livingroom/dining room is stunning. Wade's MIL is the sweeties woman and gave us many suggestions of places to visit and eat while we were there. The home has all you would want. We will definitely be back!

Forget "breakfast". This is NOT a bed & breakfast and should be renamed. The only thing offered was coffee and tap water - no ice for a cold drink. We could hear talking and loud footsteps in the host's living space above our bedroom. You are given a 1.5 hour window to check in so be aware of that. On check out morning we were still in our room dressing when the host opened our bedroom door using the code, two hours before check out time! The view was pretty though.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a tour of the property and helpful recommendations on restaurants and things to do. The property was clean and well maintained with a wonderful view of Lake Superior from the backyard. It was conveniently located near Munising Falls and the Sand Point Beach on the Pictured Rock National Park lakeshore. The bathrooms were clean and updated and the kitchen was fully functional. The property has two units, one of which we rented, in the basement of a home. The unit was spacious enough for 6 people (3 queen beds) to sleep with an additional two sofas if needed. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

This was a great B&B. The bedroom and connecting bathroom were really nice, roomy, and clean. Wade (owner) was very friendly, let us do a late check-in and still showed us around when we got there. The location is nice -- just slightly out of downtown. A simple/easy/short drive to the main area of town. We would absolutely stay here again.

Our stay was magical. With the hosts being so friendly and considerate. It is close (driving) to downtown and so many hikes. It is no longer having breakfast due to COVID but the full kitchen was great. Very cozy and spacious with the most amazing view of Lake Superior

My brother and I stayed during a weekend of photographing the Pictured Rocks area, and the stay couldnt have been better. Beautiful house with a great view in a perfect location for exploring the area. The hosts were very gracious and a joy to interact with.

Amazing place
The host Was a lovely lady. The space was we warm and welcoming. It was very close to many waterfalls and hiking trails. I definitely plan on returning.

The B/B overlooks Lake Superior - with direct access to the lake - I loved taking a cool morning swim! The entire back end of the house has ceiling to floor windows - the views of the lake are beautiful. We sat in the living room with coffee enjoying the lake - and relaxing. Great house .. great vacation!

Excellent in every way
Excellent in every way. The most outstanding feature was the location, on the water of Munising Bay, near to Sand Point Beach, minutes from Munising Falls, with a view to die for. Photos and descriptions are all accurate.

We loved that the property is right on the water. The sunsets were amazing! The property was beautiful, but the window screens and cranks need some repair as some windows were difficult to open.

The view is beautiful and the location is great. The apartment is not very soundproof. You can hear people walking upstairs all the time. It is advertised as a bed and breakfast but they don’t have a breakfast. According to their site breakfast would be provided. It was hard to find a place for breakfast and then it was an extra expense that we hadn’t planned. Also it feels like you’re intruding in someone else’s home because of all the family pictures.

Disappointed with the Basement Apartment
My wife and I stayed in the basement apartment option due to covid concerns and were definitely disappointed by our experience. First off, it was not cleaned all that well. The ceiling fan in our bedroom had thick dust on it (must not have been cleaned in months), the microwave was not wiped out, the blender had sticky brown stuff on it, and the shower had soap spilled in it. The oven was also so dirty that when we tried using it the smoke detector was set off. However, I think the most pressing issue is just that the whole space was not “complete”. Windows did not have casing around them, baseboard was missing from the wall, and the screen door for the patio door was broken. The space was also not very secure since the door to our space was just a hollow-core interior door that anyone could access through an unlocked exterior door on the side of their garage. Lastly, the beds were not very comfortable. They all were worn out so that you rolled into the middle of them. Overall, I think the upstairs experience is probably great based on all the reviews I read, but the basement was not a good option. Especially since we paid $300 a night for it.

Wade was very kind and welcomed us when we arrived. The Portal Room which we stayed in was so warm & comfortable. The VIEW from every window inside the BnB was spectacular! We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Very spacious, with bedroom, and a living room with sitting area facing Munising Bay. Located on the Pictured Rocks shoreline and very convenient to waterfalls, attractions and downtown Munising. Joanne and Wade were very accommodating even though I was late. They're both very friendly andJoanne cooked us a great, delicious breakfast every morning. Will definitely stay again when in area.

Best B&B stay ever!!!
This was one of our favorite B&B stays. Our host was very friendly and down to earth. She checked to make sure we got whatever we wanted for breakfast and was helpful with recommendations about restaurants in the area and other activities (boating, etc.).

Oasis in Munising
The location of this property is amazing, and JoAnn makes you feel right at home. I had booked a single room for two nights, but since no one else as staying at the B&B those nights, I was able to have the whole property to myself. JoAnn even told me that I could have a party as long as she was invited. She's a hoot! In addition, JoAnn makes the most amazing breakfast. She asks you what you want to eat and at what time, then she caters to you while telling you fabulous local stories. Lastly, the bed was so comfortable that I ended up sleeping for 14 hours straight.

The B&B portion of the house faces the lake, and the view of the bay is outstanding. The owner, Joanne, was welcoming and very informative of the area. The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and surround area was a great place to visit, especially during peak fall foliage.

Great stay!!!!! The hosts couldn't be more accommodating and welcoming. We stayed in minors castle room for two nights. It's like coming home. The location is the best for hiking, close to several waterfalls and hiking trails. The views from inside the house are absolutely fabulous.

This bed and breakfast is so pretty and in a great location near many beautiful sites. Joanne made a delicious breakfast and truly made us feel at home. I would highly recommend both Joanne and this bed and breakfast!
