Kreischberg Chalet "16" in Murau with an indoor wellness area

Our cozy home, built with great attention to detail, was completed in late 2017. It is located in Murau in Styria, the green heart of Austria, and is the ideal place for you to enjoy a perfect vacation.

Our chalet, featuring many unique reclaimed wood details, can accommodate up to 10 people.
On the first floor, you’ll find the lovingly furnished living area with a sofa corner and TV, as well as an open, well-equipped kitchen with a large seating area that offers plenty of space for up to 10 people. A high chair is also available for the little ones. The storage room also houses a ski boot dryer and a washing machine.
On the upper floor, there are a total of 4 bedrooms: 3 double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, hair dryer), and 1 family room (1 double bed, 1 bunk bed). There is also a large bathroom on the upper floor with a whirlpool tub, sink, toilet, and hair dryer. For our youngest guests, we’re happy to provide a crib free of charge upon request. Crib safety rails are also available.

The private spa area is perfect for rest and relaxation.
Here you’ll find everything you need. The indoor wellness area features a large shower, an infrared cabin, a steam bath, a double lounger, and a tea bar with a variety of teas.
In the fully covered outdoor area, equipped with large sliding doors, you’ll find our centerpiece… the large swim spa (590 x 220 cm). It is divided into two sections: on one side is the whirlpool at approximately 38 °C, and on the other is the swimming area with a counter-current system at approximately 25 °C. The cozy reclaimed wood sauna, with its variety of scents, invites you to linger.

On the large terrace, you can enjoy a good glass of wine in peace while preparing delicious meals on the grill, which you can enhance with fresh herbs from our own garden. Seasonal fruit from the garden (e.g., strawberries, raspberries, apples, etc.) makes for a healthy dessert.

Here is some important information:
- We are a smoke-free property
- Pets are not allowed here
- A security deposit of 350 € in cash must be paid upon arrival at check-in.
- A bread roll delivery service is available on-site (please pre-order at check-in)

The ping-pong table in the garden is sure to get you in the mood for more; ping-pong paddles and balls are available for our guests in the chalet.
The tennis court is located directly across from our chalet. Our guests can use the outdoor courts free of charge in the summer. We also have tennis rackets and balls available for rent during your stay, stored right here in the house.

The Murau region and the Mura Valley offer a wide range of recreational activities in both summer and winter for guests of all ages—young and young at heart alike.
For our sports-loving guests, there are various ways to get active. Of course, you can choose between leisurely and challenging activities. From a leisurely bike ride along the Mur River on the Murradweg bike path—which runs right past the house—to more challenging trails for mountain bikers, rafting on the Mur, working out at the gym, and much more, there’s something for everyone.
For our winter sports enthusiasts, the Kreischberg—with its new 10-person gondola—is only about 7 km away, and you can also take the Murtalbahn to the Kreischberg. The station is less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
The Frauenalpe has proven to be an excellent ski touring area.
During a leisurely stroll along the Murradweg, there’s an alpaca petting zoo for young and old alike. There, you can spend time with the fluffy alpacas and cuddly rabbits in a cozy atmosphere.
