Family get-together
Lovely home, clean and comfortable ! The kitchen has everything one needs for at home meals. Short walk down a lane to the beach, and a backyard fire pit to enjoy evening chats around a fire.

Great property
We are 4 male golfers aged 65+ who were on a little golf vacation. This home was perfect for our needs with four bedrooms and a quiet rustic setting. We felt at home immediately and were greeted by Minnie, the property manager. She was friendly, thorough and explained all the ins and outs of the property to us. Her pecan tarts were a welcome treat. Thanks to Gabe and family for allowing us to stay at their lovely house.

A Beautiful Oasis
Amazing private property with incredible attention to detail to make your stay absolutely perfect. Wonderful location for visiting the eastern part of the island that is much quieter and has lots of lovely villages, beaches and adventures. Highly recommend this beautiful home and will definitely be back!!

Sunny PEI days
Treasured our time on PEI - our family thoroughly enjoyed having the home as a base of operations. Having the separate loft space for kidlets was ideal. From here we were able to explore the area, some highlights included: Richard’s lobster roll at Brackley Beach, the floating boardwalk at Greenwich, Georgetown offered art shops, bakeries and a playhouse for local theatre. Montague was close by for groceries and delicious baked goods. Back at the house we spent quiet afternoons beach combing during low tide for treasures. Minnie is a gem.

Notre séjour à l’Ile-du-Prince-Édouard
Maison et son environnement parfait pour relaxer et réunir la famille, nous avons adoré notre séjour. Vous avez besoin d’un appareil, d’un jeu, etc, tout y est, c’est rempli de belles attentions. Malgré la pluie nous avons eu un séjour très très agréable et retournons la tête pleine de beaux souvenirs. Merci à nos hôtes et à la charmante Minnie qui s’occupe de nous.

Friends reunion
This property is amazing. Huge property with private beach . Inside the house every thing looks amazing. Comfortable beds. Special thanks to property manager Minnie for welcoming us upon arrival with explanation of the property and home made cookies 🍪 (they amazing) We really enjoyed our vacation!!

Beautiful Cottage for Smaller Groups
A very clean and private retreat with an amazing yard to stretch out in. Bedrooms were large and the finishes were well done. A smaller living room and the lack of open concept makes this more suitable to smaller groups. (ie less than 6) . The beach was private but thickly covered in seaweed which did attract a lot of bugs so not really suitable for sunbathers and swimmers. Minnie was an excellent host and provided some goodies to welcome our stay. Gabe always had excellent communication swith us. We had a good time. Thanks!

Great hospitality
All throughout the reservation and pre arrival and check in process, Gabe was very responsive. Minnie met us at the house and provided homemade butter tarts. She was lovely. The property was beautiful as well as the inside. The house was extremely clean and everything was provided. The private beach was a treat. The mosquitos were the only drawback but what can you do when you are in the country? All in all, a great experience. Thanks so much Gabe!

Great stay
Nice property with all the amenities needed. 20 minutes from all the services (Montague) and about 50 minutes to downtown Charlottetown. Minnie, the manager of the house, was welcoming and gave us some treats ! The beach is about a 5-7 minute walk in the “backyard” and a beautiful public beach about 10km from the house (Panmure Beach). I would stay there again!

Fabulous Home and Hosts
6 adults (50+) stayed for 4 nights - June 25-29, 2022 I was in contact with Gabe, the owner, several times before our trip. Each time, he was very prompt to respond, kind, and informative . He even provided us with a list of suggestions of things to do and places to eat while staying in PEI. When we arrived, we were met by Minnie who was lovely and gave us a quick, yet detailed tour of the house and grounds. (She also had baked us a delicious banana bread!! So hospitable of her!! :-) The house was as the pictures show - beautiful and very clean. The linens were a good quality, the beds quite comfortable, and there were plenty of nice fluffy towels to go around. The kitchen has everything you could need for 12 people!!! There were also some basic spices and sauces in the cupboard for our use. We were all very comfortable during our time there - as long as we were indoors. Sadly, we were unable to use the backyard fire pit or beach because of the mosquitos. Those terrible mosquitos. Even OFF didn't do the trick. But the views of the vast front and back yards were lovely to look at. ;-) The air conditioners and fans they had were quite sufficient for both keeping us cool during the day, and comfortable for sleeping. Just an FYI that the 2nd (3 piece) full bathroom is in the loft - which by the way - is lovely. The main house has 1 main floor 3 piece bathroom, and a second floor 2 piece bathroom. Laundry facilities are easily accessible and were very handy. You're somewhat in the countryside - so you've got a bit of a drive to get into town. But if you're looking for privacy and space to gather and wander - you're getting it here. We loved our stay and absolutely would recommend this home ! The house, our host Gabe, and the house manager Minnie were all lovely. Signed, Visitors from Hamilton, ON - who now love PEI.

Great place. Walking distance to great beach.
10 of us stayed at the house for a week. The short walk to our private beach was great. We enjoyed the fire pit many nights with the great supply of wood. The house was supplied with everything we needed. The only thing to make it better would be to have a a/c unit in all rooms.

Family vacation
The property was excellent. Minnie was fantastic. Montague is an amazing spot to vacation. The beach down the road is amazing. Lots of great evenings spent there. The bugs were really bad this year but we stayed inside when we arrived home.

Had a wonderful time in PEI, my daughter really enjoyed collecting shells and rocks at the beach. The house was comfortable and well decorated and also very private if you are looking for that type of place. It was really nice to sit by the bonfire and look up at the stars, I would definitely recommend however bringing a really good bug spray as the mosquitoes were very hungry. Overall the house was great!! Tara

Beautiful Gem
From roadside and beachside... everything was amazing, from accommodation to gardens, fire pit and setting. Great location for beaches and discovering the south coastline. Cottage facilities were great, each room well kitted, fans, air con and comfort. My only ask is to provide more mugs and wine glasses. For party size greater than 4 you’re constantly washing up. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Great Property
This is a beautiful property. The house was clean, well taken care of and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners and property manager are attentive and made sure all of our needs were met. Beautiful private beach, and although it is a bit of a walk to get there, it is easily accessed (even quicker by driving down the trail). We enjoyed the beach with the tide in during the day and also got to experience it in the evening with the tide out. Beautiful!

Gabe and Shannon, we had the most wonderful stay at your gracious home. We have only superlatives. Such comfort and relaxation! Everyone commented at how they felt instantly at home. It is exactly as described: Family-friendly dream home. The furnishings, decor, appliances were all just gorgeous, and the beds were heavenly! We really enjoyed having our own beach to walk to. And Minnie totally charmed us, with her energy, enthusiasm and professionalism. But she also made us butter tarts. So, Gabe and Shannon, we would take the whole place back with us to Thunder Bay if we could. But we will have to settle for memories. Giving serious thought to kidnapping Minnie, though! You have a real gem there.

The perfect home away from home!
We had the pleasure of staying at this stunning cottage for the last week of July. The space was a perfect fit for our family of 7, with Nana and Papa enjoying the apartment suite when they needed a break from the kids! The yard space is phenomenal - it was the perfect backdrop for many family soccer and baseball games and endless hours of bean bag tosses and kite flying. We were spoiled with the private beach and we're fairly certain that our kids have cleared the beach of lobster claws, clam shells and every other creature that washed up with the tide. Panmure Island is minutes down the road and we found a gem of a playground at the Kings Cove provincial park - only 15 min from the cottage. This cottage is a dream and our family is so thankful for Gabe's and Minnie's hospitality - they took care of every detail and were always great to speak with. Book this cottage, you won't regret it!!!!

East PEI oasis
We stayed at this home for 5 nights with another family (4 adults, 3 young adults and 2 children) and loved the space and amenities it provided. The 3-person suite above the garage was perfect for the young adults to have their own space, and the main house had lots of room for all of us to hang out together. The kitchen is well appointed with a nice large fridge, dishwasher, and everything we needed to prepare meals for a crowd. We loved eating on the deck and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit and walking to the beachfront on property - it’s not really a swimming beach but still nice to go and see the views. The housekeeper/manager Minnie is such a gem - she had fresh butter tarts waiting for us when we arrived, the house was spotless, and she drove out to bring us another fan when the temperatures soared. The only damper was the relentless mosquitoes which we heard were unusually bad this year so that is no one’s fault, but bring bug spray! Thanks Minnie and Gabe for a fabulous stay at this peaceful retreat off the tourist path but still in driving distance to anywhere you’d want to go.

The house was just like the pictures once we found it. Very clean and comfy.
We went with our 4 grandchildren and they enjoyed the beach so much. Minnie was very helpful and the house and yard had plenty of room to run and have fun. Unfortunately no bonfires as the mosquitos was to take you away, but there is nothing you can do about that. Thanks to Gabe for a memorable holiday. The best I have had. I want to move to PEI for the summers. My first trip to the island, hopefully not my last.

Lovely!
LWell-appointed and perfect for our needs. We had two tweens who enjoyed having their space in the granny flat above the garage. The private beach was an awesome addition and we spent a few evenings catching the sunsets, with a glass of bubbles, while the kids raced played on the beach. The property manager (Minnie) was very responsive – even helping us find a walk-in doctor’s clinic. The only issue was the mosquitoes – which were fairly prolific just outside the house and in parts on the path down to the beach. It meant lots of running to and from the car! Other highlights in the area were: lobster rolls at the Sandbar & Grill on Panmure Island and the beach, Maritime Madness hot sauce and taking a 20 mile roundtrip bike ride along the Confederation Trail from Montague to Georgetown and grabbing a bit to eat at Clamdiggers Beach House

Great vacation
A fully equipped and clean home that met all our family needs. A large lawn for our grandsons to play and even enjoy seeing some wild life. We all enjoyed the evening campfires. Minnie, (the caretaker), called periodically to check and see if we needed anything. She is a gem. The weather was ideal for us to go swimming daily at Panmure Island. A truly beautiful home & property to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with family & attendants. It was a special day for us. We highly recommend your property.

Amazing place to stay, beautiful home
Not a fan of writing reviews but felt like I had to. The property was fantastic and the property manager(Minnie) was amazing, super accommodating. I definitely recommend this place and wouldn't think twice about renting this property again.

Fantastic family vacation home on the beach!!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and spacious home with beach access. The accommodations were perfect: well appointed kitchen, comfortable dining room and living room, great size bedrooms, comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms, excellent outdoor space, large yard, great fire pit and best of all a walk to the beach that was quiet and the swimming was great. The location is only an hour from Charlottetown and short drive to other great beaches like Panmere Island. All your provisions can be purchased in nearby Montague - a quaint town with big grocery stores. The property manager and home owner were in contact regularly to make sure all of our needs were met. They even helped me get a load of wood delivered for evening bonfires.

Beautiful family vacation!
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely and spacious home. With 4 young children, we especially enjoyed the huge lawn, the private beach a short walk away, and the fire pit for marshmallow roasts. Gabe went overboard in providing extra supplies such as laundry stain remover and calamine lotion, and was excellent in communicating and making sure we had everything we needed. Minnie, owner of the cleaning service, was prompt and efficient in helping as well. I highly recommend this place!

Excellent choice for our vacation
BEAUTIFUL home and property!!! We enjoyed the peace and quiet for a week and it was heaven. Minnie was absolutely wonderful and very accommodating!!!! She even brought us some fresh strawberries and a bottle of wine and some of her wonderful fresh strawberry and rhubarb jelly!! Everywhere we went, the people were so friendly and helpful! The only problem we had was flies down at the beach and mosquitos. We went into town and bought some repellent and just relaxed on the deck instead of the beach. We did walk on the beach a few times and it was a lovely walk. Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous property with us! We have already told our friends about this place if they're ever in that area, that it would be a great place to stay. Lots of good places to eat in Montague and at Murray Harbour North, but we cooked most of our meals. Thanks again! It was great! Jim and Brenda Melton South Carolina, USA

Sir, Thank you for your review. I appreciate your business. Mosquitoes can be an issue especially with the wet spring we had on the Island last year. Hopefully this won't be the case for 2017; doesn't hurt to have repellent though.We got to do some claming on the beach last year with the family, and that was a blast. Gorgeous Property, Excellent Experience!
Had a fantastic time at this property. House is decorated very tastefully (could easily be featured in a magazine!!!) and equipped with modern appliances which made our stay that much more enjoyable. The room above the garage was a bonus for our teenagers who had their private hideout as we enjoyed the beautiful house! The private beach is a bit of a hike from the house but it was enjoyable to explore nonetheless. Location is great to explore the east part of the Island. We thoroughly enjoyed Panmure Island, Basin Head Provincial Park and Greenwich Dunes Trail as well as the Charlottetown and Tranquility Cove Adventures field trips we took during our 5 night stay. Good eats: Clamdiggers and Maroon Pig Bakery in Georgetown, Windows by the water in Montague, Sandbar & Grill in Panmure Island and our fav Water Prince Corner Shop in Charlottetown. Hospitality of the lady who checked us in was great and the owner has been a pleasure to do business with and very responsive to our emails. I would not hesitate to strongly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable and really enjoyable home base while in PEI! Thanks Gabe & Minnie for the wonderful PEI hospitality and memories!
