“Had to find a night’s accommodation in Leon before an early train. The Colonial Palce was 10 minutes walk from the station, took my bags at 10am and put them in my room when available, checked me in then and when I got back at 7pm couldn’t be more helpful.
I have poor Spanish but Eva had excellent English and was very clear about how to get out of the hotel early the next morning.

“We stayed here 3 days and 2 nights. It was perfect! All we needed in the beautiful and very comfortable apartment was there plus it had an amazing location on the main tourist street of Leon. It was modern and light but with good heating and ac! It took minutes to walk to all the tourist attractions. The cathedral is 20 meters away. “Amazing location in the main square, walking distance to everything. The room was a little small but comfortable. We paid a little extra for a room with a view of the square and it was worth it, so lovely to see it from that vantage point at different times of the day. Staff were all very friendly. ”

“Very nice personnel in the reception. The location was perfect for me. However. I found hair in the bed so I’m not sure the sheets where changed. I had a fever and was very tired so I didn’t have the energy to complain I just slept in my sleepingbag. Then later as I was taking a bath, more hair from other people floated around. "Ett slitet, men väldigt rent hotellrum. Stort och rymligt - både själva rummet och badrummet.
Hotellet ligger tio min promenad från sevärdheter och restauranger, lite långt bort för en sådan liten stad som León är.
Åt inte hotellets frukost, men det finns bra caféer i närheten.
Otroligt läskigt upp-och medfart till garaget! Föraren behöver ha stort lugn och liten bil (inte Ford SUV som vi hade hyrt) för att ta sig till och från garaget i källaren (13€ per dygn). "

"Centralt läge. Rummet hade separat wc och badrum. Badrummet hade en höjdskillnad på ca 12 cm vilket gjorda att man slog tårna i när man gick in och risk att snubbla när man gick ut. Kändes inte säkert. Toalett vredet var väldigt trögt och svårt att vrida om. Över sängen hängde någon sorts stor metallskulptur som kändes otrevligt att ha ovanför huvudet när man sov. Endast en liten hiss för hela hotellet. Inget dricksvatten eller vattenkokare på rummet. "
