“Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. ”

“Fantastic staff that go above and beyond to provide a memorable stay for their guests.
The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with amazing sea views from the balcony.
The main road below isn’t ideal but, also not a deal breaker. Street noise is manageable and location right outside the old Venetian city walls is perfect for beaches/dining/shopping.
The rooftop pool is one of the best I’ve seen, stunning views and sun coverage.

“Hotel and my room were well maintained and decorated to a high standard. Location was close to public transport, and the main square and port area. My room looked out on the walkway which tops the old ramparts of the city. Opposite side also windowed looked out onto rooftops and hotel courtyard.”
