Gå ut i trädgården till den natursköna Hoffmaster State Park, ta en 1 mil lång spår ner till sanddynerna i Lake Michigan och titta på den vackra Lake Michigan Waters and Beach. Huset ligger 10 minuter från Norton Shores livsmedelsbutiker, 15 minuter från Down Town Grand Haven, där du kan njuta av butiker och vattnet. Grand Haven är hem för US Coast Guard Festival, Cascades färgvattenvisning varje helg. Holland Michigan ligger 30 minuter bort till Tulip-festivalen. Sovande björnsanddyner är norr. Gå ombord på Muskegon Ferry 20 min norr om huset för att ta älven över Michigan-sjön till Wisconsin. Ta en hästdragen vagnstur genom Muskegon. Halv mil från Mt Garfield motorcykelklättring. Flera cykelleder stänger inklusive Lakeshore cykelleder.

It was very clean inside but it is definitely an older cottage that had additions added. You need to have some muscles to open back screen door and siding glass doors as they are older and stick. Kitchen is great and everything is there to bbq or cook in. Lake MICHIGAN is only a 15 minute walk.

We enjoyed our stay here while visiting our daughter in college. The house was cozy and had everything that we needed. It is located in a nice little neighborhood and it is a walking distance from the beach. There are nice trails and beautiful views from the sand dunes. The trails lead to campground and a state park. Also it is a short drive from shopping and restaurants. We visited in April, so it was still cold, but we dressed warm and enjoyed walks on the trails and the beach.

Perfect location!

Location was ideal! The kids had fun building a snowman and playing In the backyard. We loved being so close to Lake Michigan. The open area worked great for our family hang out. We would rent this place again.

Wonderful Location!

The location of this property is amazing! The ability to walk to the beach made our stay very memorable. The layout of the house is perfect for a group of people to enjoy. the inside of the main house was very clean and comfortable for all of our guests. The screened in porches and the outside of the property could be better maintained and cleaned.

Cozy, Hidden Gem in Norton Shores.We had a fantastic stay at this cozy home! Although it’s located in a quiet subdivision, it feels tucked away and private, surrounded by trees and ferns. The backyard was perfect for relaxing, and we loved making s’mores around the fire pit at night.The house had plenty of space to lounge, clean and comfy bedrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen that made cooking easy. The 15-minute walk through the woods to the beach was a highlight—beautiful and peaceful. We recommend bringing a wagon for beach gear!It was a wonderful weekend, and we made memories we’ll cherish for years. Highly recommend!

Good Location / Beach & Parks Close by

Overall the location was great, with the beach and stores close, relatively clean, but property but could use some TLC. This was the first time I’ve stayed at a VBRO with air purifiers in every room. The blue lights were a little bothersome to sleep with. The place comfortably sleeps seven (7) people. The furniture was a little tired, but I’d say a 3.75 out of 5 stars.

The home was very nice. The location was amazing so close to the park and the beach area but they need to really fire. Their cleaning lady. There were huge tumbleweeds of dog hair from. I’m assuming previous renters on and around furniture and I know for a fact, I left the house cleaner when I left then when I arrived.

Perfect location and a great home

This house should be booked all summer long! It was perfect for our party of 5, ranging from 11 to 80 years of age, plus our dog. Plenty of seating to host others for meals or a cocktail hour. The house was clean and well appointed inside and out. None of us detected any smell some other guests mentioned. The neighborhood is quiet and we had some nice chats while out for walks. The wooded walk to the lake was magical. Great dining and every convenience was a short drive away.

2024 Norton Shore visit

This was our third year staying there (we've also booked time in 2025), so we do enjoy staying there. A couple comments we have are that it would be nice to have an icemaker and that the large area rug in the kitchen is rather dirty/stained and should be taken care of before your next guests arrive. All else was fine. See you next year!

Location is great as far as lake access and proximity to local sites. It was great to walk to the park and trails and the neighborhood is quiet. Upkeep of property, specifically outside, is seriously lacking. Being under a tree canopy keeps the house cool, but also keeps it from being dried out by the sun which means moisture. Grass wasn’t cut, bushes, plants, and weeds were all overgrown. Algae and tree debris on house, doors, and all walkways. Inside was kept up more than outside, but still some issues. Air purifiers in every room were a good indication. No “front” door access to the house, sliding doors were difficult to operate. There was no internet until the last night of our stay, which was disappointing for the teens as the weather was cold and rainy. When I contacted the number provided for house issues, I was told I could contact the internet provider myself and try to resolve the problem which I didn’t think was an appropriate response to a paying guest. The towels and sheets were nice quality and all clean, but only one bed was comfortable enough for a restful sleep. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils but we did find evidence of previous rodent activity, though it didn’t seem to be current. Overall, I feel a bit catfished by the listing and would not rent again.
