The ambience of an old colonial building , with modern amenities, made it a memorable experience. The staff stretched themselves to make sure that our stay was pleasant. The location in Landour was excellent, enabling us to go for long walks. Even as vegetarians, we had both variety and choice of cuisine and dishes and the restaurant Emily provided an excellent service, along with a good view, especially in the terrace.

Amazing stay at Rokeby
The property is amazing will beautiful stay, views and hospitality. The staff was very welcoming and the food at the restaurant is also very nice. The property is though located at highest point and hence its preferred to have a vehicle to reach and go around places. Overall, if you are in Landour, you must stay at Rokeby.

It’s a vintage property. The view is quite good from the room that I have stayed in. A single bed was provided even though a twin bed was requested.

Serenity, homely and courteous staff, excellent food at Emily's and lavish stay at the log cabin - couldn't have asked for a better getaway - when in landour, rokeby is the only choice!

Old world charm beeming. View from the tea terrace was exquisite and rooms were comfortable and warm . Staff were friendly and helpful. Emily restaurant was excellent. It snowed and the transport desk helped to Ensure that we met up with our hired transport further down the hill. Well done and great job Rokeby Manor!

Rokeby manor is an old British Manor house converted into a hotel. A cozy place with fire places and wooden flooring. It oozez old world charm and is maintained well. Staff is polite and helpful. Food is really good and portions huge. Additional attraction is a well stocked library near reception. On a cold, windy evening, one could curl up on the sofas in front of a fire with a favorite book or magazine.

Serene and peaceful with great food.

Worse nights sleep I've ever had.
The hotel is massively over-priced for the quality of the rooms. It appears to cater for an indian clientelle that will pay any price for a small slice of England. My advice would be simple. Save up a fraction more and visit england. Despite the huge cost (£200 a night) the rooms are unremarkable and place is so so noisy. We had a security guard pacing above us on wooden floodboards throughout the nihht. Generators beeping at night and the beds creaked incessantly. The room we were given was sandwiched between the car park and a common living room where other guests are allowed to stay up late watching tv. I cant think of a worse nights sleep I've ever had. I've got another 3 nights booked and I'm fearful as to what i am going to do. A Massive Massive mistake! Do not book here go to a recognised branded hotel chain.

Nice location but overrated place
Location 5, room 4, staff's professionalism, capacity to serve in a timely manner and hotel policies 3. Some arrogance, taken for granted, feel of past grandeur and gap between true level of hotel (this would be a a or 3.5 star hotel in most regions of the world) and perception (acting with 5 star forced deference). Nickel and diming as well, charging for extras at every possible chance.

Homey Himalayan getaway
Rokeby has charm, breathtaking views, great service and staff with very special dining experience at Emily's on the top floor. The setting was perfect, the "rustic " accommodations were always comfortable and the cost certainly reasonable. I' d book again!

A view from above
Very high up in the Himalayan foothills (7500 feet) Rokeby manor is comprised of a number of small properties and cottages high on the mountain top. There is a bakehouse/cafe, a salon, a pub, a swiss style restaurant, and Emily's restaurant at the main manor (delicious Indian food), all a part of the Rokeby property. It is a little slice of heaven. Beautiful sunsets, very relaxing and quiet, great walks, Close to the Mussorie "Mall Rd", Lal Tiba, Gun Hill, Mussoorie library (10 minute drive, or 1 hour walk - downhill from Rokeby). All with great views of the Doon Valley below. Takes about 2 hours to drive there from Jolly Grant Airport, Book the airport transfer.

My relaxing getaway
We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. It is quaint little property so beautifully tucked away in this beautiful cantt area. Good for relaxing and unwinding. Had a relaxing spa. The food in the restaurant was very good. Our compliments to the chef. The corner shop has nice things but highly overpriced. That needs to be rectified. Will be back soon.

A cozy haven in Mussoorie
It is a gem of a place, tucked away near Lal Tibba, the highest point in Mussoorie. The views and the scenery is breathtaking. It is the perfect place to stay in Mussoorie, far from the crowd and yet not too far away for those who crave the hustle and bustle of the market. The service is impeccable. They have only one restaurant but the food is amazing. The only hitch is that the drive up to the hotel through Landour is very tricky as the road is quite steep and narrow.

The location of Rokeby Manor is superb. The serenity around the place brings peace of mind. You see the breathtaking views of sunset and Mussoorie town from the hotel. Within walking distance is Lal Tibba from where you see the breathtaking views of Himalayan range. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Charming Getaway
This was a great place to visit. For once a place where the photos on the web do not do it justice. My wife and I went for a quick summer getaway and it was exactly what we needed. There were a few tiny hick-ups - they 1st upgraded us to the rose suite, when we had originally booked a rustic room, as the A/C in our room was not working. This was a larger room but right next to the drive way. So felt a dire lack of privacy. We were shifted to rustic room #8 the next day, which was really nice and cosy. The service and people are great. The food is quite nice - interesting choices on the menu, but leave you wanting just a bit more from the dishes. They do not serve alcohol, but you can take your own. They also own a restaurant a little further away, called clock tower cafe, which serves excellent pizza's. The only real issue we had was getting there late in the evening. We used Google maps and it sent us a route meant for walking or small vehicles, while we had a sedan. It was quite a frightening experience, but not really anything to do with the hotel. The best part about the property is the lovely tea garden and it is really peaceful since this place is a little above Mussoorie. All in all a charming place but not sure if it's really worth the high tariff.

A Lovely stay
This is a gem of a hotel. Loved the old world charm and atmosphere of the place... very neat and clean rooms and friendly, courteous service. Excellent food at the lovely Emilys -the best I have ever had in a hotel for quite some time. We were fortunate to experience the first snowfall of the season as well. The drive up to the hotel thru Landour can be a bit tricky as the road is quite steep and narrow. Lots of stray dogs at the Chaar Dukaan who like to follow new comers / strangers - an unwelcome bother...
