Actual property was not well maintained. The beds were unsupported like pull sofa beds are. This resulted in extremely sagging mattresses. The furniture was worn and soiled. The facilities were not clean.

New favourite in Mysore
The 2 nights and 3 days spent in Silent Shores was some of our favourite times spent with the family. The Suite was spacious and well maintained (Other than one non working shower). The room service and two restaurants had some of the best food we tasted in Mysore. The complimentary breakfast has delicious offerings along with live counters for Egg, Puri and Dosas. The kids has multiple areas to play in. The swimming pool was very large and well maintained, and was one of our favourite places in the resort. The staff are so well behaved and friendly, and never missed a chance to wish us while we roamed around. The housekeeping staff kept the rooms spotless. The check-in had a confusion because of missing valets, but was sorted pretty quick. Overall we would love to visit again!

We (5 adults and 1 toddler) stayed at this property for 3 nights. We had booked for 2 rooms and wanted them to be adjoining or adjacent. We initially did receive them but one of the rooms had a bad electrical connection requiring a transfer to a different room on the same floor (not adjacent). The rooms were large but not what I would call luxurious. There was peeling wood on the bathroom door and other furniture in the room. The flush wasn’t working and we had to call housekeeping twice in 3 days to get it fixed. The comforters in the room were quite dirty as well. On the positive side, the staff was generally always prompt to get stuff fixed up and the room was cleaned very well when we were away. The room service was also quite prompt even at 4:00 am in the morning.. The grounds were very well kept and our toddler had a lot of fun in the play area. The reason for the 3 star review has to do with the expectation that came with the rather high price tag for this property. I don’t think the room quality and maintenance levels were at par for the price tag of this place, especially when truly luxurious 5 star places were at lower or comparable prices.

Good Resort
This is the 2nd time stay at Silent Shores. I instantly felt that standards set from my earlier stay was slipping. This is apparent in kid’s play area equipment. Broken and dirty equipment litter kids area of all places. Stay was good, food was excellent as always. The F&B team there deserve a special mention for the way they serve with a smile. Coming to the room, we stayed in a duplex lake view. The room while good, can be made better. The wooden stairs leading to bedroom/sleeping area has metallic edges which make walking barefoot a risky and painful affair. I wish this was thought of and has a high risk of injury to a guest.

Good about the place is..Staff at the spa and pool area. Girls at the spa treatment are so well mannered,professional and very good at their job. pool is nice and clean. Restaurant staff are nice.Very helpful but food is good. reception staff are good too. Housekeeping is very poor.Room were dusty and toilet was not flushing properly.Housekeeping staff caliber is not upto the mark. Sofa was toen and some white cloth was covered under the cushions. Sofa itself was in a terrible state,we could not sit on it. It was sinking all the way down. Electricity went off and one perticular day there was no generator backup. Another day there was no water supply for one hr.Eletrical socket was not safe to use at the table. Building work,painting work was going on where we stayed and full dust every where.Guys were working in the night and dust and paint smell. If you had planned work in the premises why do you have to allocate rooms to the customers? Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone. Very sorry to say that.

Not a place I would recommend or visit again.
The wifi did not work even though my package included free wifi for the entire trip. The room was very spacious but very old. There was no hot water when I was ready to take a shower and then halfway through my shower, the water went off. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Awesome trip to Silent Shores
It was an awesome trip to Silent Shores resort at Mysore, stay was good..Outdoor activities were really good, we thoroughly enjoyed each & everything at the resort...I mostly liked the swimming, big & nice swimming pool...nice to see kids pool in separate, my 2 yr old kid wasn't ready to come out the each time she goes in.. Liked cycling in the morning, buffet breakfast was not that great but was fine...I felt cost of the food was expensive, played indoor games as well... Overall we as a family enjoyed the trip a lot !!

Silent Shores, Mysore - A weekend retreat.
When we checked in to the hotel, the room and the exhibited details in this website did not match up. When this was brought to the attention of the staff they upgraded us to a better room which held all the amenities as was shown on the website. The food is very average to say the least. Overall, a decent place to have a holiday at.

It was a woderful stay. Rooms a d extremely spauous with two bathrooms and a lounge area. Room service and overall resort amenities are well maintained. Food is awesome too, overall a great place for a short weekend gateway.

Best hotel in Mysore
This hotel was very good and we enjoyed our stay. Good service, good location, friendly staff, nice room (especially the bathroom!), As close as you can come to a 5 star in Mysore. Would strongly recommend!!

Service was terrible. Water heater in room was not working and after several phone calls to the recep to change room, there was still no follow up. Had to pack up and go to the recep before they re-allocated another room. On top of that room was not cleaned properly and there was mud from the shoes left behind from the cleaners.

Beautiful, calm and refreshing.
Very pleasant stay and like the name "Silent shores" it's very peaceful and refreshing the view and walk inside the resort. Very friendly staff. We stayed there for a night and 2 days and really enjoyed. The duplex room was spacious and comfortable. Food definitely can be improved. Won't rate it the best. Would revisit for sure if I have to go to Mysore again

Nice, but ...
Initially one of the allotted rooms was smelling foul. Upon request, the room was upgraded to the lake side superior room. Though smaller in size, it was good. The Open Drain probably meant for rain water is fed with sewage, resulting in foul smell in the beautifully landscaped location. Addressing this could solve the problem. Overall, it was a good experience.

Awsome Resort
We were just wondering where to go for two days on May 1st week..We have been to Mysore..Ooty so many times..summer in Bangalore is better than Mysore..but thought of going and staying in a resort with all facilities.. in Mysore, after lot of research ,we booked in Silent Shore Resort and Spa through EXPEDIA...Resort has a huge campus with lot of greenery..Rooms are really big..It is a proper resort..The swimming pool and SPA were awsome...Moreover the Dinner near the Lake is really awsome..watching IPL on big screen..Remind you guys it is a proper resort..If you want to really spend quality time you can go there and stay..Cost is bit in the higher side as compared to the other 5 Star hotels..but as I said it is a proper resort..its worth spending money..Be careful of the High Tension distribution line over the lake...

Great landscape
Over all stay was good. Apart from one issue about the breakfast where they close by 10am and forget the guests have come for relaxing. I recommend instead of Breakfast, hotel should offer brunch. 2. For dinner if you are having inside the room than it is fine, if you go the resto believe me it will be a nightmare because the resto is so small and they allow people coming from outside for only dinner and it becomes more of a cluttered, not recommended for the dinner at their resto with family. If you are going with Friends it's fantastic. But 2nd day they served at the pool side which was good.

Overall good stay, good resort destination in Mysore. We encountered one big problem - Saturday night there was a big party on the resort premises which turned into a fight with profanities hurled loudly which woke us up at midnight and we felt alarmed and concened for our safety. Security for such a large resort is almost non-existent. There were car doughnuts performed extremely loud which filled the air with burned tire smell. Considering what the hotel charges for the rooms, allowing this kind of behavior ruined our stay. Please check with the resort beforehand if such parties are taking place, it can be extremely unpleasant.

a lovely getaway
We booked for a family vacation,expecting the average decent rooms and a decent spa and average food and service.But i must say we were totally surprised. Our entire stay was way beyond average and above our expectation. The hotel staff was wonderful and the level of service was something you don't come across at all in India. I think they could train a few other so called resorts.There was no attitude, or ego there was just pure gentle hospitality. The entire resort was well kept,maintained well and great attention was given to every detail. No mosquitoes and flies!!! The spa was beautiful and the treatments were truly relaxing and rejuvenating. The cottages were what made our stay so memorable.I have to say the cottage rooms can put any five star hotel room to shame.The children loved the pool,which was again clean and beautifully maintained.The quality and the choice of food was very very good... again beyond what i expected. I would like to thank the entire staff for making this stay so lovely . Their graciousness was actually exemplary. Never seen anything like it except once at the singapore Carlton. overall a singularly great vacation choice but do book into the cottages!!!

I opted Premiere Room instaed of Classic Room from Hotels.com as it was shown there that there is king size bed, Jetted bathtub and lake view. After i reached i found that its twin bed not king size bed and no Jetted bathtub or lake view. When asked the hotel people they said its not their fault as its false information. After reaching there no one came to carry our luggage which any guest would expect from a 4 star resort. I need to wait for 20 mins to checkin the room as they said the boy has gone to checkin other guest. So a 4 Star has just 1 boy. The recption Manager Mr. Kushalappa was rude and didnt have courtesy to even ask for a glass of water. Though the Resort is beutiful and the house keeping as well restaurant people were very corteous special Restaturant Assistant Manager Vijay was very courteous but the Reception gusy were not at all helpful. If only they improve this resort will be the best place to stay in.
