Cutest home in best location
Everything about this home was great. We were pleasantly surprised by how easy of a walk to town it was, and scenic! Gerard was super easy to coordinate with and was very responsive. The online welcome packet was extremely helpful if we had any questions about using anything in the home. Will definitely be back!

Wedding weekend
The house was perfect for our weekend stay - great location, clean and well set up. Communication and check in process couldn't have been easier. Nice to have a "private" separate guest house - a real bonus. Easy walk to town with all its shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

Spring Break Getaway
I am so glad my family & I took this trip to Mystic! Such a great place to visit, so much to see! Such an adorable coastal town with great restaurants, tons of shopping & things to do.We visited the aquarium so happy we did, love the Beluga whales! The house is in the perfect location, walking distance to downtown mystic, close to restaurants. We loved the Engine Room, highly recommended! The house had everything & more that we needed. My 18 year old son even had his own space in the guesthouse which he loved. Check in & check out were incredibly easy thanks to Gerard! I would absolutely stay here again & look forward to coming back soon!!

Girls weekend was perfect and our stay at this property was a huge part of that. The house and cottage are adorable and the location was amazing with water views and easy walk to shops and restaurants. The hosts think of everything you may need. We would definitely stay there again!

Magical!!!
Just a beautiful home. In a perfect neighborhood. It is thebholidays and Mystic was jumping with carolers and christmas lights. Was perfect. Our host Gerard was amazing, very helpful and prompt with replys. If we needed anythign he was there for us, very professional and friendly. Absolutely loved the house. I actually miss the house and being able to walk the dogs outside and dlwn by that lake. And over the bridge. Just beautiful. Thank you again!

charming house. exceedingly well stocked with needed items. easy walk to Main Street and to one of the museums. owner very attentive and helpful. note: bathroom on floor 2 (this is common for many houses here) but guesthouse next to back patio an easy alternative (has full bath). may seem a bit small but we hosted a light luncheon for 25 family and friends and there was ample space. planning one making it an annual event now.

Girls Getaway
Best VRBO experience ever! Property was exceptional and as advertised. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed or wanted for our 2 night girl’s getaway. Gerard is a wonderful host. Communication was great from the time of booking right through check out. By the way check in and check out process was super easy. And with 3 bedrooms in the house and 1 in the cottage, all 4 of us had our own rooms. Location was quiet and within a short walk to a couple of good restaurants. Family get away
Everything was wonderful. The location was perfect. A family of eight had plenty of room and plenty of amenities and I believe we use them all. Check in was painless. Gerard, the property manager owner was great. He kept in contact via phone or message pretty much daily, which was appreciated. I would recommend this location to anyone at any time. Great place .

Location location location!
This property was spotless, beautifully furnished and steps from the water. They thought of everything. We were so relaxed the whole vacation. Short walk to Everything! Quiet neighborhood but not stuffy. The separate cottage gave us just enough space away from the kids. Great rental for multigenerational getaway. The bikes and kayaks were a nice perk as well as the propane grill, fully applianced kitchen and plenty of seating (inside and on lovely private patio!). Thank you!

Good stay despite some setbacks
When we arrived, the fire alarms were all blaring. The property manager had a maintenance person check them out within half an hour. The little cottage behind the house wasn't secure because a previous occupant broke a key in the lock, but that's not the property's fault. The beds are a little hard, but that's my personal preference. The cottage bathroom could use a curtain over the shower window, as one can see directly into it from the neighbor's porch. Overall, cute house and a great location. There were kayaks and bikes provided. The manager was in daily contact to see if there was anything we needed. The rooms are cozy. Though none of our party ended up staying there, the attic room was especially cute and would be great for energetic kids who don't mind climbing the stairs. The cottage would be good for a teenager who wants a little more privacy.

Great Location
We stayed here while our kids were at the Mystic Seaport sailing camp. The house is right in between the Seaport and Downtown Mystic, short walk to both. We enjoyed canoeing around the harbor, and watching all the activities at the Seaport. Great restaurants downtown. The house is great, decorated very well and very comfortable. Kitchen stocked well and other than a some food shopping didn't need to venture out to get too much. Gerard communicates well and was very accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Charming Mystic Retreat
Newly remodeled home in quite neighborhood within short walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants in beautiful Mystic. The maritime theme through out the home was very beautiful and detailed, down to the whales tale cabinet door pulls, maps and the nautical lamps downstairs. The property felt cozy and we were relaxed from our arrival. We had a family BBQ in the back courtyard the first night. The beds had beautiful linens and fluffy pillows. The kitchen had everything, I mean everything, you could possibly need! We had a great time! Gerard reached out to make sure everything was ok and he even allowed us early access. Would highly recommend this property!

The house was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. We were 6 women and all of us were impressed with the house. The layout was perfect for our reunion. We loved the decor. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra towels and linens. We are already planning to come back next year.

A+ location. House was super clean and nicely stocked with basic supplies. The host was super great at communicating too. Just note that one of the two bathrooms is in a separate building from the main house, as well as two of the beds. It was fine for our group but definitely good to know if traveling with your kids. A TEN STAR LOCATION & HOME
A 5 minute walk to everything you could want to see or do. Great shops that are unique and fun to browse in. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Our host was incredibly quick with responses to questions and really just bent over backwards to make sure we had every possible thing we needed. The home looks out on the water. Its located on a peaceful, quiet, beautiful neighborhood... summary: I want to live there.

A charming house in a charming town!
I rented this house as we were coming up for a cheerleading competition in the area. It was me and my daughter along with one of her teammates and his mother. I have never had a more smooth experience. The host was wonderful with communication before, during and after. He even had a call with us when we first arrived to explain everything! The house was so clean and so charming. I love the "ship captain" decor! The fact that they supplied not only linens and towels but also basic toiletries like shampoo, was a real bonus! Everything was so user friendly, from the heater to the sound system (the cheerleaders definitely utilized the music when they got ready for the competition!). They especially liked that they had their own little "house" out back with their own bathroom! The host was even gracious enough to allow us to stay later on our check out day because they kids competed later in the evening. It really was a wonderful touch so that we had somewhere to relax during that last day. I could not recommend this adorable house more!

Perfect even with a blizzard
Our first trip together since the end of 2019, we were excited to stay at this property. The location is perfect to go see all that Mystic has to offer in walking distance and the property is wonderfully maintained. Unfortunately, a snowstorm derailed all of our plans, but because we picked such a great spot to stay we were able to relax and enjoy our time together in comfort. And the property owner was wonderful!! Communicative before, during and after - making sure to address our weather related concerns, checking in over the weekend and being flexible with getting out on check out day due to the snow cleanup. Highly recommend this property to anyone heading to Mystic. We’ve already talked about rebooking when there is nicer weather so we can get out and see more.

Away from downtown traffic but walk to all. We have been visiting Mystic for years and being on the East side of the river was particularly convenient for groceries, the Seaport and walkability to downtown. 9 Isham is a wonderful property that was clean, tastefully decorated and truly felt like a home away from home. Wonderful location in Mystic
My parents, best friend, and I stayed for 5 days and had a wonderful time. Gerard was extremely attentive and responsive to any questions we add. There was a small issue with the bathroom sink that we didn’t notice until very late our first night there. Gerard responded right away and had a repairman out the next day to fix it. At no time was our trip interrupted. The home was right next door to Mystic Seaport and just a shirt walk to Downtown Mystic. The aquarium and Old Mystick Village were only a five minute car ride away. The home was impeccably clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The front porch and back patio areas were great for socializing when we weren’t out and about and the backyard cottage was a good alternative bathroom if you didn’t want to walk up to the second floor to use the main house bathroom. One thing of note is that there are no longer two full bed lofts in the cottage as the listing describes. It’s one full bed loft with a twin bed directly underneath. Luckily we had some guests who couldn’t make it at the last minute so this didn’t affect our sleeping arrangements. Just wanted others to be aware in case the amount of larger beds was a factor. All in all this was a wonderful stay and I would recommend Gerard and this property to anyone wanting a Mystic trip.

Disappointed with the Property.
I rented this property with the expectation of a 2 bathroom house. I also expected to have River views. Technically, there are two bathrooms but only one is in the house. The other is in what is referred to as a “cottage”. In order to use that bathroom, one must go outside to get to it.. This was not made clear in the description. If the weather is bad..expect to deal with it..and for us, we did have rain… River views, not exactly unless you go to the “cottage “, also. But, there is No reason to go to the cottage at all if you are a couple with a couple of small kids. Doubtful you would have small children in that separate space. ….so, then figure, one bathroom, no view…a bit , if not deceptive, at least not full disclosure…I feel it is wrong to do that. Maybe I’m naive but, I still expect it. The stairs in the main house are steep and not possible, for at least my dog to manage. So, it was also a disappointment not to be able to be with our pup. That is not the fault of the property, but had I realized it, I would have stayed elsewhere…so, just an FYI, if you are bringing your furry friend. The location is excellent..accommodations are clean. The kitchen is well equipped…but I would never stay again…and would not recommend it. I feel that it over promised and under delivered….. checkout time is seriously enforced. If you don’t want to be out by 10:00, you might have housekeeping knocking at the door…not an issue for me, but if you are one that is not punctual..be forewarned..lol. It was nice that the Gerard did call to inform us that it would be possible to check in early. Gerard did communicate and was available. My reason for the 3 stars was because I feel he didn’t represent the property well ..not because he was unresponsive. I guess it all depends on what you are willing to have slide…but the lack of an in house 2nd bathroom and River-views, coupled with the steep stairs…didn’t work for us.

I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay Andree. We do everything we can to make our guests happy. We also try to represent all of our properties accurately on the Vrbo platform. I sincerely believe if you had actually read the description, you would have seen where the bathrooms and bedrooms are located. As you can see from our other reviews, our guests are quite pleased with the house.
