The Hemingway Carriage House - Romantic & Private Downtown Mystic Getaway

Freshly renovated, unique and extremely private studio in downtown Mystic, situated on a historic property with nearly an acre of land, one block from the Mystic River with river views. Four minute walk to beautiful downtown Mystic restaurants and attractions. The studio can accommodate up to four with a queen size bed and a fold out queen size couch. Ideally suited for a couple.

It features a private patio and sitting area, kitchen and dining area in a stand alone beautiful cottage.

*There are 10 stone stairs leading up to the cottage.

*We have Wheaten Terriers on the property in the main house.

We had a wonderful time at the Hemingway Carriage House. Private and set back off the road. We spent the day at the Mystic Seaport Museum and Mystik Village which had ice sculptures on display. We shopped in the various shops.We enjoyed a nice walk into town which is not far at all. We also visited the Mohegan Sun Casino and saw a Rat Pack tribute show,Awesome!! We would definitely like to come back in the future. It was the perfect weekend getaway. Caitlin and Chris were awesome hosts.

Very close to the downtown area. Super clean and well kept space . Perfect for a couple. Complimentary items were a very nice addition. Hosts were super kind and very communicative . Overall 10/10 stay, would definitely book again.

Our hosts were awesome and we loved staying here. We walked to town. We walked to the Mystic Seaport Museum. We drove to the aquarium. We jogged along River Road to the north. Just a great location and so quiet. The Carriage House was all we could dream of and we had a wonderful stay.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days on our way to Bar Harbor for the Mount Desert Island marathon. I highly recommend this cottage as it was clean and comfortable and exceeded our expectations. We could walk along the river to restaurants and shops. The hosts were very gracious and even provided us with snacks and sodas.

Its truly wonderful. If your looking for a cozy cottage look no further. This is it. Its a 2 min walk to the bustling downtown but when you return its quiet and cozy. Highly suggest sitting outside at the table on a starry night.

Charming Cottage

The Hemingway House was perfect for our visit to Mystic for the Wooden boat show. The cottage was clean and airy, perfect for a weekend stay. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants, hiking trail and seaport. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed beautiful Mystic getaway

This was a lovely property with wonderful amenities. The owners went above and beyond providing beverages coffee and even snacks! Such a beautiful home and we hope to return! This is a perfect spot for an idyllic Mystic weekend!

Lovely space great location

The room was clean, spacious, bright and beautifully decorated. The hosts were very attentive and responsive. I would definitely recommend staying here. We had planned to walk or bike to town which seemed very doable but it was unseasonably cold so we drove. Everything of interest was close by and easily accessible.
