“The hotel was probably very nice 100 years ago. It is still charming but in need of A total renovation. The hotel is old, worn and neglected, but unfortunately the rooms are also dirty. Cobwebs and dust. Torn sheets and flies in the bathroom. It smells more or less everywhere. Unfortunately there is a lot of seagulls that pooped down the windows and they have nests outside. Nice and helpful staff in the reception, especially Barbara. The breakfast was not great. Manny who lived at the hotel...
“We stayed at the Norbreck Hotel for 7 nights and we had avery enjoyable stay. We had a wonderful view of the sea from our hotel window. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing that you asked of them was too much.
Scott and Andrew the receptionists were both helpful and friendly. Not forgetting Pete. We would definitely stay at the Norbreck again. Thank you all for making our stay a pleasent one.”

“Room was clean and staff very friendly. Good value for money and a pleasant walking distance to town or very handy for buses. Excellent choice of hot breakfasts, plus cereals, with quick and friendly service. Option to dine in pleasant bar or restaurant for lovely evening meals very handy. ”

Bed is good and firm.
But the sheets, even tho they were clean, had stains.
Very thin walls. I heard when the neighbour spoke on the phone in the room next door. Or when people came in late and spoke in the hallway.
Bathroom needs to be updated.
Very hot water in one tap and very cold in one.
Wall paper is coming off in the room.
No power outlets by the bed, not even usb.
Dirty windows.
I had to move the bed, wish I didn't. Previous guests trash under it.
It looked clean but so many things had stains on it, like the small info signs or the walls, the furniture was sticky.
A hoover was in the hallway, when I walked up the stairs (elevator was out of order) but it was not clean. A lot of dirt in the stairs.
Positive:
Free parking and nice personnel in the morning.
I gave it two chances.
First time was bad, second worse.
Too bad because the location is quite suitable.
