i recommend it

Very big and Nice room, Clean. I had to call to get them to fix broken lightbulbs and waterheater for tea. But it was good service. Beutiful hotell and Close to town. Pool was very Cold. Nice resturant and breakfast. Wifi worked okay.

One of the worst place to stay.

I had one of the most horrible hotel stay at Wasini suites and hotel. The first night they quoted a rate for additional persons from what was already given . Then we go to the room the shower leaked and left puddle of water on the floor. And then we go in the second room no sheets were on the bed. We had three beds came back one of the beds were removed without telling us why. The next room we moved to the toilet didn't flush correctly. On top of that they didn't clean the room there either. I spoke to the supervisor she argued that the room was cleaned. I requested to speak to a manager two days prior to me checking out , I was given stories that they were in a meeting. So as for a management team I would at least train my personnel how to correct conflicts without not showing any empathy. In stead of telling the customer what great rates they got. But never try to resolve the customers complaint. So I was very surpise at the lack of professionalism. I would never recommend anyone to stay there.

It's not the same Wasini I stayed at in the pst

The hotel staff are great, warm and cheerful. Unfortunately that the best compliment I can pay to wasini. I have stayed at the hotel at different times over the past couple of years. Regrettably things have changed, and for the worse. I didn't have hot water for the four days I was there. I complained every day and I was assured each time that it had been repaired. Yet the hot water lasted for less than four minutes each morning when I was taking my shower. During a season of cold climate in Kenya I was having my bath with cold water literally. The mosquito netting was too small for the bed. I complained. It was replaced. The footmat in the bathroom is torn in many places. It showed that supervisors don't check on what the clients are served. No decent hotel would allow the staff to place torn foot mats in the bathroom. They are torn in several places so quite obvious. The towels are ex white and looked brown even though they are originally white. They are all getting in several parts. The worse was the attack of mosquitoes every day. Even though someone came to spray the room in the evening every day, by 5am the next day, I could no longer sleep. I had a horrible four days this time: no sleep, dirty towels and footmat, poor quality breakfast. I used to boast about wasini and referred my friends to it. I am not trying to bring the hotel down. I am using this medium to draw the attention of the management that they risk losing most of their clients.

Could improve but overall very nice.

Overall quite enjoyable. Staff were very friendly, rooms are huge and well equipped. You could stay here and self cater really as there are good kitchens in the rooms. Tv was a bit dated, jacuzzi bath in bathroom was a nice touch but sadly didn't work, reported but not fixed. Swimming pool wa a nice size but unfortunately was closed for my entire stay as it was being cleaned, guess I was a bit unlucky.

Angenehmes Stadthotel

Angenehmer 2,5 wöchiger Aufenthalt in einem sehr guten Hotel. Es gab lediglich kleine Schwachstellen im Bereich des Renovierungszustands der Decken (Putz im Bad und Küche ging an manchen Stellen ab), wie in Kenia leider üblich die Dauer von Essensbestellungen trotz nur 5 Gästen im Restaurant mit teilweise 1,5 Stunden und des alten Teppichs im Wohnraum unseres Apartments. Das Apartment war insgesamt geräumig, das Essen (Frühstück mit für die Hotelgröße angemessen großer Auswahl) und das Abendessen im Restaurant hat uns immer sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Hotel hat eine angenehme Größe und ruhige stadtnahe Lage.

Ok, men endel mangler

Wasini var et helt ok sted å bo men standard og service kunne vært en del bedre. Første dag jeg sjekket inn ble jeg tildelt et rom som var veldig slitt og møkkete. Klagde og fikk et rom som var klart bedre. Merkelig at de ikke ga meg det beste rommet med en gang da hotellet uansett var nesten uten gjester.. Hotellet bærer preg av å være bygd for mange år siden uten å ha bli oppgradert men hadde et trivelig basseng- og restaurant område. Meget god sikkerhet med vakter og port. Spiste på restauranten noen ganger, det tok særdeles lang tid å få maten - bortimot 1,5 time ! til tross for at vi var de eneste gjestene der.... men maten var faktisk bra. Service var varierende med hvilken servitør som var på jobb, en av servitørene var nærmest umulig å få oppmerksomhet ifra til tross for at vi var det eneste gjestene - helt uforståelig......! Men bra service i resepsjonen hvor det hele tiden var 2-4 personer hele dagen. Veldig bra beliggenhet i Nairobi med kort avstand til Wetlands mange barer, restauranter og shopping-muligheter. Hotellet er nok mer en 2 stjerner enn 4-5 som de oppgir selv, men grunnet beliggenhet gir jeg 3* ...:-) Veldig rart at de hotell ansatte er opplært til å yte bedre service hele tiden slik at gjestene velger å komme tilbake......

I had a wonderful stay at Wasini.

The staff was incredible, and always were there whenever I needed something. Great location, everywhere I needed to go was not far away. I definitely recommend this hotel, and will surely stay during my next visit. Thanks Wasini staff for making me feel at home.

Staff and hotel design are fantastic.

Stayed for 4 days and developed good relationships with staff. Left to another country for 3 days and decided to come back to Wasini. Brilliant enough to quickly return.

Nice ambiance, secluded and in nice area

While the hotel had a good ambiance, getting luggage to reception was a problem, steps and no ramp and small dingy like reception. Suites were nice but problem with heater and no hot water so hotel moved us to the presidential suite the next day after a series of complaints and failed attempt to fix the problem. Breakfast was ordinary, but with feedback, hotel improved and provided variety of fruits, breads etc. Staff were nice and welcoming and the hotel is very close to bars, malls and other places of interest. It was all in all a pleasant experience.

おおむね満足の設備。Wi-Fiはつながったり切れたりする。何か問題があってもスタッフは親身に解決してくれようとする。周りの治安が悪そうで、散策する気になれないのが残念。ただそれはこのホテルのせいというよりナイロビ全体がそうなのだが。心配した蚊はいなかった。

A good place in Nairobi

The suites are more like apartments. Mine was a massive two bedroom suite with full kitchen, two big bedrooms and large lounge. The hotel was clean and I enjoyed staying there. The outdoor restaurant bar could be a bit chilly in mid-winter and I hadn't packed a warm jumper, but that was my fault, not theirs. I will definitely stay again.

Average hotel in the heart of the city

The room was shabby with mosquitoes. A climb up the stairs to the third floor. Reception shabby. Close to a lot of good restaurants and room is spacious. The toilets are reasonable but the shower is old and not great. Room service is average but they have a decent restaurant and an an okay pool. This review is such a bore that Expedia should revisit the format.

Some major problems, but overall a decent stay

Although very apologetic, there were a number of big mistakes that happened during my stay, which cost it a full star in my review. A taxi was very late arriving. I ordered food one night and after a long wait, the wrong meal came. The next night, my food never came and the kitchen closed with no food options available anywhere nearby. I checked out early just to eat at the airport. The TV channels were via satellite and it rained during my stay, making it impossible to watch any channels even when it rained a bit. I also didn't realise how sheer the curtains were until I went out at night and noticed that I could see the silhouettes of other guests. I would make those heavier or darker. Everything else (the bed, shower, bath tub, kitchen, gym) were good enough to not demonise the entire stay. I would think twice before booking it again.

Very comfortable, friendly staff

We stayed here for a business trip and it was a very pleasant experience. The accomodation is very comfortable, spacious and ideal location for nearby Westlands. We felt very safe, and the staff are very friendly and accomodating. The place is very safe & secure. The breakfast was very good. In addition, we had a few business meetings and the location and accomodation very ideal to hold meetings here. Overall, very pleasant stay. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

good option for business or leisure

Stayed at Wasini twice. It really feels like a resort oasis in the city. The large palm trees, mural pool and open air restaurant create a relaxing soothing atmosphere. The restaurant has a decent food selection. You have to pay at the end of your meal which makes it inconvenient to constantly carry cash to every meal. The pool is the focal point and I have observed it being cleaned every evening I was there. My friend used the sauna and enjoyed it although he preferred to use the steam room but it was not in service. The rooms we stayed were clean and spacious. The kitchen was equipped with cooking utensils.The bed was comfortable to sleep in and the closets have plenty of storage space. Only drawback is the hot water runs out quickly when you try to fill the jacuzzi. We stayed on the 4th and 5th floors which we found tiring to climb so you may want to stress that you need a room on the lower floors. The front desk is available 24 hrs. Check out is at 10 am regardless of the check out time provided on the website you booked. The 2nd room we stayed in had a jacuzzi that leaked water when it was drained and the phone was not working. The hotel maintenance came to our room shortly after. Overall I would recommend Wasini. The rooms are clean, there is a restaurant on site that covers all meal times and they provide a shuttle to and from the airport which makes it a convenient place to stay.

Great stay

I was impressed by this hotel. It was a large suite with kitchen, living room, spacious bathroom, and two bedroom. I was only there two nights, but would recommend it for a longer stay also.

Excellent - no complaints. Great staff, HUGE rooms, convenient location. One doesn't really walk around Nairobi so unlike competitors right in Westlands, you would need a taxi to get to shops/restaurants, but on the other hand, there is a full kitchen so if you want to self-cater, you can quite easily.
