Stay at our amazing little piece of country music history nestled on a quiet street in the middle of it all. 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, game room, outstanding back deck with fireplace, wet bar, hot tub, outdoor commercial heaters & a 16' disappearing glass door that opens the entire back of the house up to a back yard oasis with fire pit & bocce court. Minutes from downtown Nashville & less than a mile from Bluebird Cafe.

Welcome to Fancy Free - an Entertainer's Dream

When I first stepped foot on this property it was 1982 and I was just a little girl. My uncle was a successful songwriter and manager of The Oak Ridge Boys publishing company. He and his wife took the royalties from his #1 hit Fancy Free by The Oak Ridge Boys and bought the little 1930’s bungalow that was originally on this property and turned it into my favorite place on earth.

Fast forward to 2018 and my husband and I bought the property and built our very own dream home and it is still my favorite place on earth!

This place is filled with country music memories from all of the stars and extremely talented writers that stayed a many a night right here. Walk through the house and you will see gold and platinum albums that tell a little bit of the history.

If you are looking for an amazing Nashville experience, this is the place for you. We are located right in the middle of everything but with the beautiful wooded lot you feel far away from it all. Only one mile from the world-famous Bluebird Cafe and a couple of miles to Broadway, this is the perfect vacation spot.

We are also two doors down from a great public park with tennis courts, a covered pavilion, basketball court, small baseball diamond and walking trail.

Go a couple of blocks over and spend some time hanging out at Elmington Park where you will find the most amazing food trucks on the weekends!

About 1.5 miles and you are at Centennial Park where you can tour the world’s only replica of The Parthenon and feed the ducks.

The house is large and roomy with an amazing kitchen and a beautiful back porch. The bedrooms are comfortable and allow for privacy. The second floor loft area full of games and a full karaoke setup. The hosts were attentive and responded to our questions quickly. Highly recommend!

The best VRBO we have stayed in

We loved staying at Fancy Free in Green Hills while celebrating our daughter’s college graduation. The property was beautiful and since we were preparing a lot of meals for our family we loved the huge kitchen where we could all congregate. The beds were so comfy, bathrooms beautiful and the back screened in porch is where we ate our meals. Lucky for us, our daughter is continuing grad school in Nashville so we will be able to stay again to celebrate her Masters graduation. Thank you again!

Displaced Family

We placed a family here while they are out of their home during some repairs to their home from an insurance claim. Quick and Easy Access to the City

The outdoor dining room is the feature to live by. Perfect for a family trip. Plenty of spaces to splinter off to and enjoy for everyone. Master bedroom suite and bathroom alone are large enough to be their own apartment. Playground is a short walk away if you have children who need to get outdoors during the day. Location is near restaurants, grocery stores, Vanderbilt, the mall, etc.

The house is in a quaint area and the property is terrific. Huge trees and an amazing backyard. We found all house as advertised with high-end finishes and plenty of room. The owners we communicative and easy to work with. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

The Perfect Weekend Getaway

this property is incredible! the indoor / outdoor living options with the glass wall opening up to the back porch was perfect for our executive team gathering. The kitchen is a dream, even the private chef we had come in was impressed. Would definitely book again.

Beautiful, amazing and Gorgeous

The house was even more beautiful, inviting and comfortable than the pictures show. Hosts were responsive and gracious. Back yard and screened in porch, such wonderful places to hang out. Plenty of space to have alone time if needed. Read books, play in the yard etc.
