Christmas at the Blakely House
We spent Christmas in Franklin at the Blakely House. The hosts were great and accommodating and the house was accurate with the online listing. Being half of a mile from downtown Franklin was very convenient. There were only a couple of minor cleanliness issues when we first checked in. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Charming Franklin TN
Our directions brought us in about 4 blocks parallel from Main St winding us a few streets to the house. When we pulled onto the street we were a bit concerned as it appeared like we were in a whole different neighborhood. When we pulled into the driveway (4 women) we realized it’s a shared driveway that ends with 3 apartment units. At the time was filled with trucks and men. Inside we went, house is charming. Most areas are fairly small to gather but it was perfect for us or a small family. Bedrooms were great, beds perfect. They are building a house next door so we got curious about the area and explored. It is definitely up and coming, adorable homes that have been redone. We drove down to town as we went to The Factory first then shopped in Franklin. Could you walk, yes and it’s safe but it is a good walk. Trolley/bus stop is right in front of house. We went into Nashville twice, easy access to highway. Now let’s talk about the shared drive, was it a bit scary back there at first, yes. Guys were very friendly, we had no issues even sat on the backyard patio one night. We never felt unsafe. The ants that were mentioned in other reviews came to visit us as well. We got rid of them and let owner know. We enjoyed our stay!

Historic Neighborhood
Wonderful little cottage style home. It was warm and inviting all over the home. Great little book mentioning the opportunities to be had in Franklin. While we were there mostly for the Nashville experience, we were so glad to be away from the hustle and bustle of Nashville. Franklin is a visit in and of itself and our host made us aware of all the places we could visit. Enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Nightmare
We were skeptal to stay at all but had to for 1 night! We forfeited our reservations for the next two nights. There were ants everywhere in the kitchen so there was no way we would cook or eat there. The location felt unsafe to even let my dog out. The property description is totally misrepresented as far as location and pictures were concerned. The host did not even offer a refund and stood by the property.

We strive to ensure our guests' satisfaction, going above and beyond to meet their needs. Regrettably, this particular guest attempted to cancel their booking, leaving us insufficient time to secure an alternative reservation, and contrary to our established refund policy. Despite our inability to accommodate their request, they opted to provide us with a one-star review, accompanied by disparaging remarks about the quality of our property. We believe this review should be reevaluated and possibly removed, as it runs counter to VRBO policy due to the guest's breaking cancellation policy and retaliatory actions.

Wedding weekend in Nashville
We thoroughly enjoyed the property in Franklin. The historic home is very comfortable and well equipped. The location was convenient for all of our activities. We enjoyed the outside patio for coffee in the morning and later evening talks. It was perfect for us.

Quaint home
This quaint home is just a block away from million dollar homes and half mile away from downtown. It’s definitely an up and coming area. The neighbors are friendly and we felt safe walking with our infant son. Visiting from Chicago so we’re used to diversity and appreciate it. Check in and check out process is super easy and the owner is accessible. The house has everything you need. I especially appreciated the laundry!

Historic Beauty
We had an amazing stay at the Blakey House! We enjoyed numerous strolls to downtown Franklin to enjoy delicious food and desserts. The house was very clean and the owners were extremely accommodating. Our favorite hangout and gathering spot was the second floor family area. The house is well lit and beautifully decorated. Most important to me, our puppies were welcomed. There was plenty of room on the second floor for their kennels, in the kitchen for their elevated bowls, and room in the fenced backyard to explore. This will be the first place we try to book when we come back to the area.

Nicely remodeled house
Don’t be put off by the age of this home—it is nicely remodeled with all the conveniences you would expect. Neighbors in the area were friendly. We had no problem with noise. It’s very close to downtown and all the neat shops and restaurants. If you like history, this home and the Franklin area are a great place to visit.

Family vacation in Franklin! Highly recommend staying here!
We had a great 2+ week stay at the Blakey house in historic Franklin. We walked downtown almost every day and tried a variety of the restaurants and eateries which are all very good! We played golf a few times and most importantly spent great times with our family who now live in Nashville. The location of the house is so convenient to so many things to do. It was very well appointed with all the necessities that you need in a rental. The hosts were great to communicate with! We look forward to rebooking this trip soon!

Historic home with great amenities.
Beautifully renovated historical home with all the amenities. Having dual a/c units is a plus especially for upstairs. The house was clean and well kept. Owner was very quick in responding to questions. Close to downtown Franklin restaurants and area grocery stores a plus. There is some street noise though as it’s located next to street/intersection.

Nice house in very convenient location
We really enjoyed our stay here. Nice clean historic house (I think built in 1920s) and a great location/easy walk into downtown. Owner was very nice/easy to deal with. I definitely would recommend this house to others going to Franklin (which is a very cool little town).

Nice, well equipped house
We stayed at the Blakely House for 2 weeks, and really enjoyed it. This was by far the best equipped vacation rental we have ever stayed in. They provided everything we needed for a 2 week stay. We prepared a lot of meals at the house and always had everything we needed. The only thing I didn’t give 5 stars was location, and that is because it’s on a very noisy, busy street. The noise is mostly in the daytime, so if you’re not planning on hanging around the house during the day, you probably won’t even notice. We were working remotely from there during our stay, so we were in the house most of the day for 2 weeks. That’s really a small thing compared to how good every other aspect of this house was. Just very clean and comfortable spaces throughout. The owner was easy to reach by text when we had a question.

Very close to downtown - walking distance to places to eat. We loved that.
Lovely place to stay. A few times cars were loud but neighbors were friendly & nonintrusive. We have family in Franklin so it was a perfect location. We enjoyed learning the history of the home as well.

The house was really nice and newly updated. The girls loved the bunk beds and toys that were in the house. There were a lot of nice extras that really showed Katerina thought of everyone in setting up the home. It was in a convenient spot for downtown Franklin and would be great for a shopping trip. Katerina was really great with communication!

Cute but not comfortable
Unique historic property located in a low income neighborhood. Owners not too generous with amenities such as towels (5 total for 3 guests) and toilet paper. Most off putting was repetitive reminders about “ checkout time bring strictly enforced” well before check out time even arrived. Have stayed at more comfortable and hospitable properties in Franklin even if they were not as eclectic. Would not book this one again.

We regret that you were not satisfied with your stay. Being that the house is located in a historic part of Franklin, the area is in transition like many neighborhoods in Franklin and Nashville. There are new homes ranging from a million dollars and down all around The Blakely House. We have addressed your concerns with our cleaning crew about not having extra towels and toilet paper, our apologies. We provide our contact information for all guests and ask that they contact us if they have any issues. We wish you would have let us know when we followed up with you so we could have easily gotten you more towels and toilet paper. When you told us that everything was great, we did not think there were any other concerns. Finally, an automated reminder of the checkout time goes out to ensure we have adequate time to deep clean the house for our next guests. We sincerely appreciate you staying at The Blakely House in historic Franklin, TN.

RESTORED WITH LOVE
Tastefully restored and decorated. Good location for dining etc., the neighbors seemed nice. It was too hot to walk to restaurants, (July in Nashville). Kitchen is well equipped, stocked and chances are if you forgot something, Katerina has it covered. The only suggestion I would have would be ceiling fans in upper bedrooms. they stayed cool, but we had to crank the air down to keep it that. We stay in a lot of nice resorts, this place is cleaner than most. Overall, would stay again if back in the area. Thankyou for sharing your property.
