“Really good food and service. The rooms are old and the cleaning before I got my room wasn’t the best. Try to stay at the second floor so you don’t have to listen to your upstairs neighbors all night. ”

“Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

“We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, which had everything a family could need for brief stops inbetween visiting the surrounding area (including a baby chair and a crib available on request). The only thing was that a radiator made some strange noises now and then (even when switched off).”

“Just needed a place to stay on our way to London and ended up in Melbourne. The room we got at Harpur's was in excelent condition. Clean, Good standardA little noice from the street outside but that didn't bother us. Very good service. Had a excelent dinner at their restaurant and a couple of beers. We had 2 weeks of touring around britain, and Harpur's was one of the better places we stayed in. Very good value. Doesn't hurt that Melbourne was a very nice town/village that we never heard of...
