“Trevligt hotell med fotbollsprägel. Små rum men stort hotell. Gym var bra och frukost bra. Engelska landslaget var där.”

“Poppy cottage is comfortable both inside and out. The owner was lovely . Loads of information on walks in the surrounding area. “Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

“We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, which had everything a family could need for brief stops inbetween visiting the surrounding area (including a baby chair and a crib available on request). The only thing was that a radiator made some strange noises now and then (even when switched off).”
