A one of a kind Retreat & Spa Hideaway, our unique cabins are nestled amongst serene forest & Zen gardens. The Mystic Dome is a studio-style dome home with abundant natural light.

Less than 10 minutes to downtown Grass Valley. 15 minutes to the Historic Nevada City. Only 19 minutes to the South Yuba River Bridge.

The space
Our Sierra Foothill cabins are nestled amongst serene forest and Zen gardens. A cozy sanctuary for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation in nature.

This is an eloquently designed standalone circular studio dome home with loft. Both a full-sized bed up top and a day bed with trundle on main floor (two separate twins can be combined to make a king). The space is well lit with many windows as well as the beautiful round skylight in the center bringing in plenty of natural light. There is also a desk for those looking to work remotely and use wifi. This is the perfect space for a couple looking to relax and/or explore. Also comfortably accommodates small families or groups of 3 adults. Dogs are welcome at a small extra fee.

The space includes a kitchenette (Single burner stove top, mini-fridge, French-press & Keurig coffee, electric kettle, dishes and utensils). There is currently NO kitchen sink so we offer housekeeping services where we will clean and bring back your dirty dishes upon request. Kitchen is best for simple meals and coffee/tea or guests who prefer to eat out and explore the local eateries. Restaurant suggestions can be found in our welcome book.

Outside is a private patio where you can sip your morning coffee as you listen to the fountain flow gently into the koi pond. There is a private half-bath attached to the outside of the home accessible from the front patio. Also out front is a private open-air rain shower spouting out of the neighboring tree onto slate and stone tiles. A unique shower experience under the sun or starry-night.

A short stroll away is our relaxing bathhouse with a 6-person cedar wood-fired wet sauna stocked year round with seasoned oak firewood. Take a cold plunge or hot mineral bath in our signature large copper bathtub which fits 2-3 people. The bathhouse is a shared space so all guests can enjoy. We use a reservation system with 2+ hour time slots. Shorter times are also available if needed. We allow for multiple bathhouse bookings during your stay contingent on availability.

When you stay with us you will be a short drive away from Historic downtown Nevada City and Grass Valley with an array of local entertainment including farmers markets, music, arts & cultural events. Bars, restaurants, breweries, cafes, elixir kava bars, local Artisans, yoga studios, plus other musical & cultural festivities.

For those looking for outdoor adventures, the majestic Yuba River and multiple hiking and biking trails are all short drives away! Local trails and adventure suggestions can be found in our welcome book.

All drinking water onsite is local spring water from nearby Bitney Springs.

The Mystic Dome is situated near 4 other unique rentable dwellings on a 5 acre property with multiple bookings available for small group retreats up to 12-14 people. Currently, 3 of the units are available for short term rental. Inquire with host about group retreat rental.

**Please let us know about your furry little friends in advance so we can accommodate accordingly as we do require a pet fee. Otherwise, any unannounced pets will be charged double the fee upon arrival.

***Disclaimer: Construction! There is currently intermittent construction projects happening on the property during the day. Due to this, there may be more people and vehicles on the property than usual. We also keep the noise and construction to a minimum in the evenings and on weekends.

The property is fenced with a locked gate at the entrance so we have full awareness of who is coming and going to ensure everyones safety and security.
