Amazing Family Birthday Weekend!
We loved everything about our weekend! The Hosts - Terra & Scott were the key to making it such a fun & memorable weekend for our family of 2 grown sons/wife & grandson. The communication prior and during our stay answering my crazy questions created a seemless experience. Terra has thought of every question you can think of asking with spot on answers. The House is equipped with all the essentials as we cooked every night and enjoyed the firepit complete with smoores and cocktails on the decks. We so enjoyed our boat rides on beautiful Lake Badin. The House has a cute beach and area for swimming. Our sheepdoddle enjoyed her own pool and fenced in yard. My boys loved stepping back to their youth with a game of pinkpong and cornhole. And of course, Mom & Dad loved watching it all. It is the perfect get-away from Charlotte - just over an hour's drive. It is on the otherside of the lake from the small town of Badin. We look forward to returning soon. Thanks Terra for helping to make memories for our family! Cheers!

Great girls weekend getaway!
We stayed at this house for a weekend girls reunion trip and had a great time. The owner was super kind and helpful and offered suggestions for things to do nearby. We visited on a chilly weekend and enjoyed their firepit outside by the lake and their big fireplace inside. The house is very cutely decorated and clean and has a good amount of beds and space for a group.

Fantastic Stay

Beautiful place
We cannot say enough about this property and the host. The house was beautifully decorated, the beds were comfortable, everything we needed was there plus more, the host left personal welcoming notes and goodies! We would recommend this house to anyone!

A great LONG weekend!
The house had everything we needed for an active, fun getaway. Being able to bring our own boat was important to us and having the boat slip was so nice! We enjoyed the fire pit on the "beach" nightly. And sitting at the end of the dock watching the INCREDIBLE sunrise each morning was my favorite thing to do. There are no negatives to this house at all! (Just know that the queen bed shown in the bedroom with the king is actually a pull-out sofa in the game room.) With the house located in a quiet "no wake zone" cove, swimming and floating around was calm and easy! It was a great stay! (although I don't really want to tell everyone, I'd rather keep this house to myself :)

Amazing vacation

Family lake getaway
Our family loved spending time in this beautiful home on Baden Lake. The home was cozy and nicely decorated and we enjoyed paddle boarding, swimming and taking the pontoon boat. It is a beautiful place to rest and play!

Exceptional host and a Beautiful Home
My husband and I along with 3 teenage boys and 2 family dogs had the most marvelous getaway for our summer vacation. This home is gorgeous, it's super clean and is warm, spacious and welcoming. Some of our favorites were the beautiful staircase and lake decor throughout the home, the ping pong table, the 2 decks overlooking the pretty lake (so awesome to get out of bed and take in a beautiful, serene view first thing in the morning) , the kayaking and splash mat, renting jet skis, learning to wake board at the elevated wake park, sipping coffee in the early morning and watching/ listening to the sounds of nature (directly across our cove was a lovely little island to listen and watch the birds (next time I will bring my binoculars!). The master is huge and the bed was very comfortable and the master bath spacious and clean with an amazing view! We had the best weather to make the most of lake life! It was so hard to leave. Terra is a fabulous host! She checked in with us early on to make sure we had all we needed. She was super sweet and responsive, incredibly helpful and thoughtful. You will truly feel at home and welcomed here whether it's a weekend getaway or a week at the lake, I personally recommend a month! : )

Our First Lake Vacation
This was our first lake vacation and what a great choice we made in our house/hostess. The house was clean and beautiful. Loved having our own boat dock and the kids loved the little sandy beach area they have made! There were games and toys available for the kids which was helpful to keep them occupied. The hostess was available for every question/concern before and during our stay. We will definitely go back for a second lake vacation and hopefully many more!!

Jeep retreat
First, we would like to thank Terra and Scott for the wonderful welcome when we arrived. This is a quaint, but spacious lake house is adorable and the views are spectacular. If you are into outdoor activities like hiking, boating, or in our case, off road Jeeping, this is the place! It is in a great location surrounded by National Park and in between two small towns. While my wife and I were only there for a long weekend (attending the Jeep Adventure Academy in Uwharrie National Park), we were able to take the dogs on a great hike around half of Lake Badin. We wish we would have planned a longer stay. Thanks again to Terra and Scott, Ryan and Leah Paige

Great Fall Weekend

Best lake trip ever!
We had an amazing vacation at the lake. The house was immaculate and everything you needed for a great stay was available. The lake access to put in our boat was conveniently located right around the corner. The sand on the lake front was where our granddaughter spent most of her time and there were sand toys already there which was great as we did not think to bring any toys for the sand. The master bedroom has a beautiful view and the bathroom is phenomenal. The small touches added to make your trip personal were outstanding. This owner takes great pride in doing all they can to give you a great experience. They was very responsive and helpful with my many questions as well. This was hands down the best place we have stayed while vacationing at the lake. We have rented their other home on the lake for another vacation this summer and cannot wait to go. Thank you for a lake vacation to remember.

Wonderful place on the lake
The Driftwood Lake House is a wonderful house situated right on a cove on Badin Lake. The attention to detail on the décor and little touches of the house are amazing. From the Welcome sign for my family to the rinse station for your feet to the beach area by the lake, it really is top notch. I’ve rented many VRBO homes over the years and this one is one of our favorites. Another plus, a TON of towels and places to hang them. This may seem silly but so many places we rent allow one towel per person and not even a hook to hang wet towels. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to do lots of lakeside cooking and grilling. There was a pantry which was super to store the food we brought and extra goodies. The house was beautifully decorated and the decks both top and bottom were wonderful for morning coffee, cocktails and dinner each night. The hammock by the water was a perfect nap spot for me each afternoon too. We took the kayaks out every day, which was lovely. We went across the cove and around the little island that you can see from across the house…that was one of our favorite parts of the weekend. While the attention to detail was great for the décor, some of the maintenance of the house had its challenges. That said, Terra was responsive to all with a solution. The only add I would say is a beach umbrella on the beach area, that would be really great and has been mentioned to Terra 😊. Mother Nature provided us with quite a storm on our first night. Good news, it blew away the almost 100-degree heat that we experience but it also left us with a power outage and no propane for almost three hours. One of the neighbors was kind enough to sell us one of his propane tanks and Terra kindly reimbursed us. The cove the house sits on should be quiet cove as it’s a No Wake zone sadly, the jet skis zoomed by all day making what should be a quiet cove, a bit noisy at times. This is merely an observation and no fault of Terra. If you are looking for a wonderful place to spend a weekend or longer, check out the Driftwood Lake House.

Best VRBO Ever!
The house is clean, beautiful, and spacious. We have stayed at a few VRBOs now and this was by far our best experience yet. The hosts clearly take pride in their property and keep it very clean and organized. Check-in was a breeze and the hosts were always quick to respond when I had a few questions. The master suite is beautiful, the kids room has an old-school atari, the ping pong table, the multiple sitting areas outside and the dock… everything was extraordinary. We absolutely loved this place and we hope to stay there again soon.

I have rented many places to stay this by far is my favorite . From the first moment you walk through the door you feel welcome and right at home , my stay was peaceful quiet and so enjoyable, early morning coffee by the fireplace, fishing off the pier , although through s’mores at the fire pit to playing pig pong in the evening and enjoying the jacuzzi tub and night it was a stay like no other.. Beautiful Lake House
We loved the well stocked kitchen (for example had both percolated coffee and a Keurig) very comfortable bed (slept great) and relaxing lake view. We had fun playing ping pong. Thoroughly enjoyed the two Christmas trees while we read. The house is lovely inside! In a neighborhood but it was quiet. Only minor issues were going up the stairs to the Master Bedroom with my recently fractured ankle with boot and navigating the very low to the ground toilet. I am tall and used to a larger one. The owners were friendly, helpful and responsive. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Great family lake weekend!
Wonderful family experience at lake house. The house was tastefully decorated and clean. Lots of space for our family and plenty of entertainment. The kids loved the ping pong table, just what I was looking for: quality time. The lake was great and neighborhood was nice as well. Weekend getaway
We had a wonderful and relaxing time at this meticulously maintained and beautiful lake home. My family and I were very comfortable and the house was the cleanest property we’ve ever rented. Terra was so hospitable and the perfect host. The downstairs is ideal for an older person who cannot climb stairs, opening up to a very spacious deck overlooking the yard and dock. The second floor master with spa bath was spectacular with amazing lake views as well. The 2nd floor deck off the master was lovely for star gazing and enjoying the fresh air. Fenced yard with little beach and fire pit were a lot of fun! Great location. We can’t wait to return!

Beyond Expectations
My friends and I arrived at the property and it didn't look like much from the outside but once the front door opened to the charming older receiving room any and all fears were immediately ameliorated. The sun was pouring through the vast windows overlooking a beautiful lake and charming yard with green grass and a cozy and personal white sand beach. Time to open the wine, sit on the vast back deck in new and clean furniture. The rest of the home was similar. Clean, fresh beautifully appointed, softest towels ever, etc. Terra is the perfect host and was available for questions...she even found us a ride to a local restaurant so we could have cocktails with our meal. If there is anything you need Terra will help you. It was a magical spot, centrally located to other attractions (go to Troy and The Morrow State Park) We cannot wait to go back!! What a find!!!

Perfect Getaway!
Our first time to Badin Lake definitely did not disappoint and we will be back! Terra, our hostess, was awesome to work with! She quickly responded to any questions that we had as we prepared for the trip. The Driftwood was so cute! It’s super cozy and located on a quiet cove. We definitely could not have asked for more!

Mark and his family were awesome guests! They left the home so clean and neat and their communication was great. They enjoyed time on the pontoon boat we rented them and the kids played on the beach. I think their pup enjoyed it too! We loved having this family as one of our very first guests of Driftwood Lake House and would love to have them back again! I highly recommend renting to this family! Great people! ☺️
