“When I came into the town of Shipshewana at 3ish I noticed that the traffic signals was not working and found out before checking in that there was no electricity in the entire town because of a storm overnight. “Room was large and comfortable. We were there during a storm that took out power from the evening through the morning of our departure. The Inn had emergency lighting in the hallways but not in the rooms. Breakfast was very limited (no hot food or drink) because of the power outage.”

“This hotel is relatively new and is just beginning to show some signs of wear like chipping here and there is the bathroom, scratches on the bedside table, small holes in the window blind. It is generally very quiet there and the walls seem to be thick enough to block out the TV or other normal sounds from adjacent rooms. If you value quiet, don't take a room on the first floor. “This is a terrible place. I have no idea how it receives such a high rating. Walls are in need of repair, no shower gel and the girl didn't know how to replace it, beds are horrible - when you sit on the edge you have to be careful not to fall off, floors are dirty and there was no hot water. Not the worst place, but the worst in a long time.”
