DON'T STAY HERE!!!
1) House was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Imagine the dismay when my son got into his very uncomfortable excuse for a twin bed and literally found clumps of dirt in his sheets. Surfaces were barely wiped down, it was pretty obvious that a cleaning service had not been there, yet the owner insists on charging a cleaning fee (AND $150 more than even listed on Expedia!) upon departure. In all fairness, I will say that the bathrooms appeared to be clean. Those were probably the only rooms that were cleaned.
2) I was reprimanded by the owner to keep the cover on the hot tub to keep the heat in, yet it was already off as was the heat.
3) We were greeted by a dead squirrel and other floating debris in pool.
4) I was also warned to "not have too many guests in the house", yet it was a 5 bedroom. This house was rented for the weekend of my wedding that was held at a nearby vineyard. I specifically rented this house because of it's size and I was expecting out of town guests to pop in to say hello. As they did, I was extremely uncomfortable which put a damper on the night, to say the least.
5) Downstairs shower didn't work.
This is just the short list.
6) To top it off, and this is the clencher - the owner admitted to me that she accidentally double charged me and promised to refund me through my credit card, yet she never did. I am now forced to take this up with my cc's fraud department.
She (owner) has no right running her house as a business.
