Convenient stay on Upper West Side

This apartment is a great jumping off point for exploring NYC. Close to the 1/2/3 subway lines. I stayed here with 2 friends and we had plenty of space. We received the check in information 30 mins before check in. The place was clean enough for our needs.

We booked this property specifically because it was listed as having air conditioning, which was essential for our trip. When we arrived, we discovered there was no A/C at all. The temperatures were unbearable, and after trying to manage for a short while, we had no choice but to leave early for our own comfort and health.We contacted the host who ghosted us. We feel misled and want future guests to be aware. The rest of the property was as described, but this was a significant issue.

La distribuciĂłn del espacio tambiĂ©n nos pareciĂł ideal para un grupo grande como el nuestro (Ă©ramos siete personas).Sin embargo, al llegar nos encontramos el apartamento en un estado de limpieza claramente mejorable: habĂ­a suciedad visible en varias zonas, lo que dio una primera impresiĂłn bastante negativa. Aunque al dĂ­a siguiente nos proporcionaron toallas y sĂĄbanas adicionales —algo que agradecimos—, nos sorprendiĂł que no estuviera todo preparado teniendo en cuenta que se sabĂ­a el nĂșmero exacto de huĂ©spedes desde la reserva.En particular, una de las camas, el sofĂĄ cama del salĂłn, no estaba hecha ni disponĂ­a de ropa de cama. Great location - average experience

It is so close to so many things and subway stops. Check in was relatively easy, but had to contact the host when we were almost there because they hadn't called with check in information as they said they would. They responded relatively quickly, with excuses. Once we got instructions, things were easy.We had a few issues, even though we didn't spend much time in the apartment. The place was clean, but cold. The listing didn't mention that one bedroom is in the basement, which was nicely finished. There was no thermostat and just a thin comforter (no blanket) on bed downstairs. The bedding was for a twin bed, so the blanket/comforter doesn’t cover 2. people. We took an extra blanket from the bunk beds upstairs to stay warm. The pots and pans provided were in poor condition, with scratches and loose handles on the non-stick pots. There were only 2 mugs and both were chipped. The toaster was broken. There were 3 of us and there were only 3 bath towels provided for the whole week and no hand towels or wash cloths. The kitchen had no dish towels or paper towels and only a stinky sponge for washing dishes. I had to request these things, which they did provide.We were given check out information, which we followed and were told to take our trash out to a dumpster that did not exist. I texted the host to see where we should leave it and they never responded. At that price, we expected better provided amenities.

Ideal location for family trip to NYC

Two blocks from the Subway (1, 2, 3 lines). Clean and well suited for family of 5. Adults had the downstairs room with our own bathroom and three teen boys shared the upstairs room and bathroom. Hot water lasted for when all of us needed to use both showers to get ready.

Great location

My spouse stayed here with our two small children. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the apartment other than sleeping and showering. For that purpose it’s great. We have Verizon and our phones didn’t get service in the unit. The provider wifi saved the day. The living area is small, wouldn’t be ideal for more than 4-6 people. There’s plenty of spots to sleep but not much hang out space. If you plan to spend a lot of time indoors and you have toddlers be careful! One bedroom and bathroom is accessed by going down stairs. There is no gate and no handrails for the stairs. The apartment does not get much natural light if that is a thing you prefer. For just sleeping, the lighting is ideal. For some reason the listing on VRBO showed it as in the Hudson River when I was looking. So getting the actual location sorted out was a thing. Communicating with the property manager was rather clunky. I felt like I had to do all the initiating. Overall the apartment served our purpose well and we would stay again.
