âWe stayed here the first night in Scotland, travelling by car around Scotland.
It was a nice hotel, but if you really should enjoy it you must know that it is a place for horse people!
We had a lovely room with a view of the outdoor jumping arena.
The restuarant is located in the horse center, and has windows towards two indoor horse arenas.
The hotel, breakfast and food are good.
The location is perfect if you, like us used it when exploring the suroundings by car.â

âThis is a full blown hotel with all that comes with those. What might be considered as missing though is the location, the hotel is located quite far away from most things outside the hotel itself in the ways of activities. But if you're only after someplace to sleep the standard is very good. One tourist atraction well in walking distance is the Auchentoshan Distillery.â
âWe had the best stay possible at Knockderry House. The hotel and the location were beautiful, but the best part was definitely the service from the staff. We were blown away by how kind and helpful they were in every single way. Already looking forward to our next visit! Would recommend this place to anyone!â
âMycket trevligt hotell, trevlig personal och frĂ€scha rum och lokaler. I samma byggnad fanns en trevlig pub att sitta i pĂ„ kvĂ€llen, vacker utsikt i frukostlokalen. Ligger en bit ifrĂ„n stadskĂ€rnan - ca 20 min promenad utmed kusten, och staden i sig var vĂ€ldigt sömnig pĂ„ kvĂ€llen. â
âWe had a lovely one night stay at this hotel in Balmaha. Can highly recommend staying here and the food in the restaurant in the evening was also really good. Cafe next door had great coffee and icecream and a good bacon buttie in the morning for breakfast. Can highly recommend everything here . Remember to take a walk round the edge of the loch as well and climb the small hill for lovely views ! â
